"I’m going into my 8th year here. Management is awesome, the property is well kept, and my neighbors are friendly. We are in the Brown Deer school system and the buses come to the complex to pick up and drop off, very convenient."

"I lived here for 4 years and have no complaints. Management is precise and follows up on items in a timely manner, everyone on staff was pleasant. The location of these apartments makes it very convenient to make the drive to Downtown MKE in roughly 20 minutes or so, the price and size of the apartments are very nice with this kind of accommodation in mind. I was especially pleased with the security of the apartments; Underground parking with key card garage doors kept my vehicle secure, while there are inner-doors in the complex itself that need a hall key to open. Lastly, I never had any longstanding trouble with neighbors. Everyone primarily keeps to themselves and any noise issues or complaints are taken seriously by management."

"If you are going to rent from this apartment, I recommend making sure you're on the second floor. First floor I had to deal with ants in the summer, and noise issues with residents above. Then again, we had issues with how loud neighbors were too, just extremely thin walls. So thin we could hear our neighbor use the restroom. Kids run around with no supervision, a rock got thrown at our back patio door and the door shattered, we went almost two months without it getting fixed, and then our lease ended! Too many nights where there were absolutely no parking spots, people began to park on the grass because it was ridiculous. Our AC went out in the summer, took them over a week to fix it. They did not offer us a credit, a hotel room, we slept in our kitchen with fans blowing in front of the fridge! Our apartment also had no light coming in, both of our windows were blocked by a tree and another completely blocked by a bush. If you still decide to rent from them, make sure you take videos and pictures of you cleaning the apartment when your lease is up, because they wont give you your security deposit back even if you cleaned it all and followed the list. They even charged us extra. Was so sad because I really loved the apartments layout, and the area. Management was nice but seemed to not take our issues seriously. Would recommend looking at the apartments directly next to River Place."

"River Place is a great place to live! Management is just absolutely phenomenal. They are very active in accommodating the residents by making everyone feel comfortable and safe in their residence. My apartment is so cute and comfy with the convenience of heated underground parking. I've been residing here for 4 years and have yet to have a complaint. Definitely the best apartment and management I've ever experienced."

"I have lived at river place for the past 5 years and believe me when I say there isn’t a better bang for your buck. (+)The property is well priced with spacious apartments and ample storage. We have enjoyed our 2 bed 2 bath and the large windows that face the court yard, the community grills by the river in the summer, and heated garage parking in the winter. Although the walls are thin, we have never had a problem with the many neighbors that have come and gone in 5 years. (We are fortunate to have a 2nd floor unit with no one above us). The grounds are well kept and the maintenance team, Kris, appears to take great pride in her work. The club house has a gym and free printing included in cost of rent. The community is diverse and includes families, students, young professionals, and long term tenants. The location is also terrific with easy access to the freeway and northern suburbs of Milwaukee. As we look for new housing out of state, it has become apparent we will have to pay more for what we have become accustomed to. (-) The property is a bit dated (no concern to us) but the team continues to update it which can mean frequent interruptions in the warmer months. Nevertheless, it is good to see improvements being made. There was a small period of time we had concerns with new management that nearly prompted a move (reflected in other reviews), but that concern was quickly banished with the newest manger, Tracey, who has been wonderful to work with. It can be challenging for us to make it into the office during open hours based on work schedules but they are quick to answer email and that has been sufficient. Of minor note, I have had a few instances of clothes coming out dirtier than they went in with the community washer and dryers. Don’t over look river place for your next home! We will miss it as ours."
