"I've been taking drums lessons with Brady for severals months now and have been really pleased with the entire experience. I'm not sure what I expected when I decided to start taking lessons, but I was anticipating dabbling in a new hobby and thinking maybe I'd stick with it for a little while and maybe I wouldn't. But now I'm hooked! I found Brady to be an empathetic and super insightful teacher who doesn't just want to teach you the skills, but wants you to enjoy the ride and the experience of playing music. He'll meet you where you are and is great with total beginners like myself (...and I can only imagine how great he is with more skilled musicians, that would be a fun lesson to sit it on!). He wants to instill good habits and technique to set you up for long-term playing, but there's no shame, no embarrassment, and no apologies. You just do what you can and Brady will help you get where you want to go. Absolutely recommend. If I had a kid, I'd send them to Brady too. We have a lot of fun and he's simply a great guy."

"First, Brady is a really good guy, a top-notch instructor, an accomplished and talented drummer, and he only wants you to succeed. He not only wants you to enjoy drumming and music, but teaches you the correct techniques to develop your drumming ability in order to play many different styles of music. He teaches how to use your wrists, develop your muscles, proper stick grip, striking the drum head, foot pedal technique, etc. He also emphasizes timing, rhythm, and learning to read music so you can play on your own. He has introduced me to various music styles which we play in class that are not only fun, but that have improved my drumming considerably. I have been a student of Brady's for two years and always look forward to my next lesson. I highly recommend Brady to teach you, but also to show you how much fun drumming and playing can be."

I think Brady’s approach to teaching is perfect – he really makes you work on fundamentals but at the same time you get to play your favorite songs from day one. He will explain and even show you how to play difficult parts. And if you think that “those who can, do; those who can't, teach” then just come to one of his concerts (his band, The Rhythm District, is regularly playing around the Bay Area)! But what I like most about Brady is that he is a great guy, he is not just a teacher but also a friend."
