"They need Jesus. I still have fond memories of quiet walks on a nearby trail, however, and quiet time with the Lord here. The carpet in the bedroom needed replacing even before I inhabited, but Jesus' grace was sufficient when I slept on it until God supplied a bed. Fans in both bedroom and kitchen help reduce air conditioning costs in summer. Bathtub and shower had drainage problems, but Jesus graciously supplied a curtain and toilet bowl cleaner when I first moved in with only suitcase and laptop. Electric stove, and fuel efficient if you don't own a microwave. Handyman was cheerful and perplexed at times. The landlord seemed pushy, but she was probably tired of being everybody's middleman. If your brother sins against you, go and tell him his fault, between you and him alone. Cowards don't rely on landlords to voice their grievances and also die in the lake of fire. The electrical outlets were loose, but a few in the kitchen and bedroom worked to charge phones. A beautiful laminate living room floor which i dubbed, "the interrogation room." Granite countertops with nice ikitchen island to supply plenty of counterspace for hospitality. Grounds were well kept during snowstorms and lawn mowing. Accessible to bus. Salvation Army Food Shelf is about a mile away, as well as the Arlington Hills Library. The blinds they supplied were sufficient. I was so grateful to Jesus for this safe space, despite the irritable people. Not wheelchair accessible."

"Tracy is the best manager ever. She is quick to respond and very nice. The maintenance crew is fantastic also. I would recommend living here."

"John Grosse is the best property manager anyone could ask for! I am going on my 4th year at the Brownstones in downtown Minneapolis. It is an affordable, quaint location that is in walking distance of just about anything that you could need. My only discrepancies are with the area itself, which doesn't have anything to do with my property manager or InMotion. There has been the occasional mail theft or car break in, but once again nothing to do with the property. Another thing that I wish about this location is that it were more handicapped accessible, although this building was built over 100 years ago and there isn't much that can be done about it. Personally, I've struggled a lot financially since the beginning of covid, and not once has John been unkind about my situation. He has been very helpful and understanding and has worked with me the entire way, which I'm so grateful for! I've had several friends rent from him as well and they've all had great experiences. If you're considering moving to Minneapolis, I definitely recommend looking into the brownstones!"

"When I found Valley Manor I needed a place ASAP with a limited budget and Tracy Bright was very helpful throughout the process getting me in to the apartment as well as helping me with some personal requests that came up. I felt like she cared about me and my individual needs and concerns, which isn't common! I also have to say that I had several wonderful neighbors around me that were super friendly and I enjoyed seeing them for a quick chat or wave every day. My kids loved the pool which was always clean. I had 2 minor maintenance concerns which were handled promptly!"

"I've lived here for over 3 years. And I'm sad to leave a place with such good staff and good neighbors. I'm relocating for work and family. I also work in the property management field and the allocations of the one star reviews are more than likely disgruntled tenants that most likely left their apartment in undesirable condition or were evicted due to nonpayment. Management is always fair and friendly. Rent is fair. The buildings are somewhat on the older side but in good working condition. Maintenance is professional and friendly."
