"Being a step parent dropping off, within the ONLY 5 minutes I witness a toy being ripped out of a younger childs hands, another child being pulled by shoulder of shirt, name calling. Non of which being corrected, redirected or even observed by teacher. Most parents will agree this is part of public child care and have forgiveness for it. However when this business fosters lack of staff and consistent turn over/ lack of trained experience staff. We expect compassion and grace when our children behave accordlingly to their environment. This is not a “my child is perfect” stance. Any staff is better than good staff is the direction of this day care. And they fail at this quantity goal as well. Local elementary staff has confirmed their reputation of kicking out children with any sensory, developmental, or behavior diagnosis by school age. No respect or motivation to uphold disabilities act. If you ever hear the warning your child is not a good fit. Believe them, they treat your children like animal in a zoo and have no patience for the behavioral results they nurture. Look inward Bear Buddies. Look inward."

"Id give zero if I could. As soon as you start advocating for your child so improvements can be made. They terminate you. Won't refund for days left in the week because they say are welcome to attend the rest of the termination period. Yeah no. Who knows how my child would have been treated during that time. Constant turnover. Owner only cares about his own profits. No upgrade to the center. Just increase in costs. A teacher who constantly puts movies on and plays on her phone. Just stay far away."

"Horrible daycare! Not enough staff for the volumes of children (quantity not quality) 2 of my 3 kids were getting incident reports every day, and they only went once a week. The icing on the cake was when my infant was getting bit by another child and the third time led to a 2 week bruise, the supervisor was very dimissive "this is how some kids communicate/express thenselves" As a parent it is my job to step up and defend my child. Once, ok...twice, annoying..three times with 8 distinct teeth marks, no. My threat to take my child to the doctor on their dime led to a completely fabricated 'termination' letter stuck to the computer (no verbal exchange, email, phone) How dare I protect my child! My 3 kids who didn't hurt anyone were put out at the end of the day. Also, high turn over of staff every few weeks, so no one truly learns your child. Silver lining is that their actions made the urgency to find a better quality daycare happen overnight, much better options in the Baldwin/Woodville area with more attentive care & compassion. Lesson: Do not ask questions about why your child is getting "kicked by friend" "hit by friend" "pushed down by friend" "bit by friend" the reaction will be to "end your professional relationship" * google search Baldwin Bear Buddies, interesting read on a recent child abuse charge they had. That employee might be gone, but it speaks volumes of their practice. They have accepted zero responsibility in the injuries my kids have sustained there, and put ALL the blame on my tone I took demanding it stop."
