"I don't know where Chandler Peterson gets his information, more than almost 9 years after the Witch Creek Fire in 2007. I was here through that fire and have distinctly different information: Fire Department was so overextended that there was no way they could come in and save those homes, most of which were built adjacent to a creek and were beneath a thick canopy of ancient Oak trees. One of the big problems was the environmentalists prohibited any fuel abatement in the creek and, upstream, for many feet on both sides of the creek. It was a definite tragedy, but management was not to blame. Most of us are still here, unaware of any of the accusations Chandler Peterson makes, and are very happy to be living here. It's a great community, great neighbors, and Oak Tree Ranch management has always been responsive and responsible. If you're looking for an affordable home in a lovely, quiet, and scenic country valley east of Ramona come on up and take a look. Talk to some residents, too. You'll find these accusations to be groundless. Updated 11/23/21. It's still a great neighborhood. Our new property manager is a responsive problem solver."

"Monthly fees are over $1000. The purchase price eventually gets paid off. Tax increases are limited by prop 13. Monthly fees never go away. Therefore this isn't the place you want to buy into when you're young and expect to retire in. A traditional house is better in the long run."

"Comfortable environment with great views of the sky. The only downside is that strong winds in the area tend to result in power outages. Otherwise an amazing community."

"Worked a job here not too long ago. Homes are inexpensive, but the HOA seemed high. Anyways, they have good water!"
