"I would not recommend Twin Palms to anyone looking for an apartment just based off my experience with speaking with the management there. Definitely do a lot of research and you can find other better options on Craiglist, Zillow, or even Facebook Marketplace. There were many homeless around the area where I read on other reviews of tenants finding homeless hanging out inside the supposed “closed complex” and people getting their car broken into or mail stolen which is why I hesitated with going through with the move in. I swore I saw a homeless man inside the complex sitting between an alleyway, smoking a cigarette with his shopping cart nearby one day when I went in. I first went in on Dec. 11 because I needed to find an apartment fast and was in a rush so I filled out all the paperwork and gave in a $250 cashier’s check deposit that I was told could get refunded to me within 72 hours if I decided not to go through with moving in. I reached out to them the day after letting them know that I’ve decided not to move in and wanted my refund back. I tried to get in touch with them constantly every day but was always sent to voicemail where I left multiple messages that I wanted my refund back. When I first called, a man picked up and I told him I was pulling out of the offer, he kept telling me that they were processing my refund and when I asked to speak to Lillian who works in management, he said to leave my number and that he would let her know to reach back to me. She never did and continued to never reach back to me. After that I called multiple times each day because I was trying to get in touch with Lillian but they would send me to voicemail each time. I wouldn't be in town that next week which is why I was desperately trying to get my $250 back. On Dec. 14 I finally went in, I knocked once at the leasing office and no one answered. I knocked once more but harder and finally someone opened the door. Lillian said she got my message on the phone but no one picked up because they were “at lunch”. However, no reason was ever given to me for not calling me back even after leaving my name and number. I asked them when I can get my refund back and Lillian told me they did not process the refund until Dec. 13 (even when I told them I did not want to move in anymore literally not even 24 hours after signing the papers so I was pretty annoyed) Lillian informed me that they should have my refund back for me to pick up by the end of the week or the next week (which again, I wouldn’t have been in town to pick up) so she said she would hold my refund for me until I get back to LA from my trip. I should’ve listened to my gut telling me not to proceed with anything before I gave them my cashier’s check. It definitely seems like they didn’t want to give me back my refund. It was VERY fishy. I truly advise not to come here as it seems they only care about money and want to keep it for themselves. Don’t take the risk of getting scammed. I was told Twin Palms is under new management, however it doesn’t seem like they are doing any better with being professional. I don’t understand why they can’t ever answer their phone when it's not like they have a whole line of people waiting to move into this place. Anyways, I got my $250 back and will definitely be looking at reviews/doing research before considering moving into a place. This would've been my first apartment ever and even though the pictures of the interior of the apartments looks new and renovated, the entire complex gives off a feeling of being very unsafe."

"They must be under new management because I worked with someone by the name of Mona and she SCAMMED ME OUT OF MY MONEY after notifying her that I had found a place bigger for my family. Initially she advised that the holding deposit would be returned if I wasn’t approved. I declined further renting from them when I found an another place within a week. I sent several emails over several weeks with no response. She finally responded months later, telling me I waited too late to request my money back. As far as I am concerned, she’s a liar and poor front face for the company as she stood outside smoking while I completed paperwork. Do better! Now I got to get a lawyer for the money she should have just refunded."

"All because of a gate they refuse to fix... The security gate hasn't been working for a while, so you get tweekers fighting cats for scaps around the dumpsters. And when they're done with that, they'll come check out your car, break in, or steal it. Sometimes you find random bums passed out near the patio table near the pool gate, some, somehow sleeping standing up on their bikes in the parking lot...also a neighbor with a dog who doesn't clean up after, yet it's hard to blame the dog with all the characters around. Also for some reason Amazon delivers at 530 am, but don't worry, there's a guy ready to steal your packages for extra convenience. Complained to the manager about the gate not working, they did nothing."

"Clean Maintained Security Gate However, it was propped open. Have visited property several times completing Doordash deliveries. But I had never entered. This was my first time entering property. I am aware property was renovated a while ago. Greatly improved appearance. Looks like a complex worth looking into But I am not aware of the cost of rent, requirements or amenities."
