"Package theft is rampant in this building, management refuses to take action. They advertise a secure building, it is very much not secure. Random people coming in and out, breaking into the storage area and mail room.. sleeping in the common areas. Terrible customer service to the tenants. Not recommend."

"Lived here over a year, Beautiful apartments and great maintenance guys. Building management is the worst I've encountered in 30 years BEWARE! Madison Park the management company is horrendous, I wouldn't recommend living here for those reasons alone. I had over 8 packages stolen from the mail room and Informed management,they did nothing whatsoever"

"This building is frankly predatory. It charges exorbitant rates for the market and neighborhood and therefore promises security amongst the many advertised perks, but delivers the following: – the front door lock is so broken that the door doesn't even latch for hours and days at a stretch, leaving the building accessible to anyone. – The front and rear entrance's key fob readers are unreliable, which are the only means to enter the building (unless you count the broken front door) – the kitchen cabinet doors are so poorly installed that they refuse to stay mounted and literally fall off of the walls. – The gate to the parking lot only responds to the remote opener intermittently, and break-ins occur even within the lot. – Mail theft is the norm, not the exception. The staff refuses requests to investigate stolen mail. There are security cameras throughout the property, and at least one within the mail room, but they may not actually be either turned on or in working order, and the staff will not review footage, anyway. – There are mice in the units, and maintenance either ignores requests for pest control, or responds over the course of weeks. When they do appear, their pest control method is to put down a single, small glue trap, which they then do not follow up to check or remove. DO NOT MOVE IN HERE."

"I didn't end up moving in (too much of life still based in SF), but 1) I toured several units and they're awesome spaces; you can also tell that this portion of Oakland is on the come up; and 2) Ashanti (the building manager) was a pleasure to work with. Really easy going, helpful/knowledgeable, and clearly hardworking. If I ever end up moving East, Lampwork will be on my short-list of places to check out."

"One of the best features of living here (I moved in 07/2014) is Al, our maintenance official. He's very courteous, respectful and gets the job done in a timely manner. I appreciate his attentiveness and professionalism. Thank you for your hard work Al!"
