Carbon Health Urgent & Primary Care Albany - University Village

"Do not go to this location. They say you have a 15 minute grace period but will turn you away either way. My son's appt was at 12:00 and he arrived at 12:10, was told to wait and the woman walked away from the front desk. She was condescending when she called him back up at 12:13 and she said nope you'll have to reschedule you're late and only have 15 minutes. Again the appointment was at 12:00 and yes he was late due to traffic but within the time frame. She also rudely reminded my son that he would be charged a $50 late fee. I am really surprised that Carbon Health allows this location to continue to treat patients so poorly. This was my 18 yo first time scheduling something on his own, he is already nervous to schedule his own appointments and this is how he was treated. A person came out from the back and nobody asked questions or even attempted to find out what the medical concern was. Disappointed because I have been taking my family to Carbon Health for years. Stick with the Berkeley location where you'll be treated like a human."

"This was my first time here. I made an appointment online for about an hour ahead of time. I didn’t have to wait more than maybe 3 minutes? I got great care! I was out in about an hour, and that’s only because I had a small procedure that involved getting a local anesthetic. Great communication. Very professional. They even got me some antibiotics in-house because all the nearby pharmacies were closed for the day (a Sunday). Very reasonable out-of-pocket expense for that. I will definitely be back if my doctor isn’t available, as was the case here."

"I highly recommend Carbon Health. I’m new to the Bay Area and I almost never get sick so finding a family doctor didn’t even cross my mind. Until I woke up in pain on a Saturday morning. A friend recommended Carbon (thank you friend!) and I couldn’t be more thankful. I was able to have an appointment that same morning. And then easily schedule two urgent appointments during that week. The doctors were kind and caring, didn’t rush me, explained everything and answered my many questions. The bonus is the app which makes scheduling simple and convenient. It’s also great for follow up documents with care plans. You can even communicate with your providers via the app. Five star experience! P. S. Also the office itself is clean and welcoming. The wait times are very reasonable."

"I was impressed with my visit to Carbon Health urgent care today. The physician’s assistant and the nurse practitioner were excellent: thorough and professional. They asked all the right questions and made me feel taken care of. I received the results of my two tests back on the app, which seemed to work just fine. I’m visiting my daughter from out of town, and I wish that I had this kind of excellent care where I live, in Washington, DC. Thank you everyone at Carbon Care. I know how hard it is to take care of so many sick people when you yourself are feeling a bit overwhelmed during the holidays. Courage to you all!"

"I had a wonderful experience at Carbon yesterday. I am from out of town and needed to go to the Urgent Care, I chose Carbon as it was the closest office with the best reviews. I was able to schedule an urgent care appointment for the afternoon. When I arrived the front desk was busy but friendly and multi-tasking like a pro. I was called back 15 minutes after my scheduled appointment which I expected a longer wait considering urgent care. The medical assistant and the doctor were equally as friendly and efficient. I travel to Berkeley every two weeks and if I ever need to see a doctor again I will return to Carbon. Thank you all for a great experience, keep up the amazing work."
