Our Acute Care Center provides walk-in services for established patients, excluding work-related injuries, sports physicals, and medication refills. For life-threatening conditions, please call 911 or visit the nearest Emergency Department. We prioritize patient care and well-being, offering specialized programs such as Point of Care Ultrasound (POCUS) training, Procedure Clinic, and Longitudinal Pediatric Clinic within our Advanced Practice Clinician (APC) residency curriculum.
Our location near the Humboldt Coastal Beaches and Hiking Trails provides a serene environment for patients to relax and enjoy nature. We welcome recent graduates from accredited master's or DNP programs, licensed as CA APRNs or FNP-Cs, to join our residency program with a commitment to practicing as primary care providers in safety-net settings.

"Always had excellent care and experiences here. ( Dr. Young Tripp is amazing.) The current nurse practitioner changed that for me. I went in with an authentic issue and request for a referral, she didn’t listen to a word I said. She talked more about herself, and I just wanted to get out of there. When I called back to request that the referral be written as I have personal and family history of the issue, I realized that she wrote such a joke of a diagnosis (without consulting me) on my referral that no one is going to take me seriously. I feel like she’s purposely getting in the way of me receiving care, or even consideration, from a specialist."

They always get me seen by someone relatively quickly and I have had really great interactions with multiple doctors, assistants, lab techs, and the front desk staff. They try to make insurance stuff as easy as possible and it feels like they really care."
"I am not sure if Dr. Reed is still at this location (no longer listed on the website), but he provided the absolute best care I have ever received. He made me feel comfortable and safe. Every time he examined me he asked for consent. He listened to my concerned and diagnosed me with ease. It is unfortunate that I had never been treated this way, but it absolutely should be the norm. This rating is for his care alone."
"Dr. Reed and Dr. Judy Burns are great doctors. I’ve seen many different doctors in my years coming to North Country clinic but these two make me feel heard/listened to and really try to get to the bottom of what could be causing symptoms rather than prescribe something that will just temporarily alleviate symptoms. I recently saw Dr. Reed and felt he was very thorough during our appointment and spent the time to explain answers to all my questions. I definitely will always be recommending these two doctors to anyone who is going to North Country. I can’t express how much these two are gems within the healthcare industry, very knowledgeable and thorough at their jobs."
