"Great, no frills, room stay. Unfortunatley, non carpeted rooms mean cold floors. Gap under door, frozen all night. Bedding was thin as there was no comforter, and the shower was disgustingly dirty. Great location, but rooms are dirty."

"I am giving the guy at the front desk 2 stars because he was very nice in what was generally a terrible 20 minute ordeal. We checked in and then checked out our room. There were cockroaches crawling about that we could see from the doorway. We turned back around and asked for our money back. The guy at the front checked the room and gave us our money back after he unsuccessfully tried to convince us to move to a different room. It is cheap and is in a very good spot. I can understand wanting to stay here. But check your room before you take your stuff in."

"I see a lot of bad reviews for this establishment, & I have to say that I am completely shocked. My husband & I have stayed here numerous times & the rooms have always been clean, no bugs, clean towels & sheets, etc. The staff is amazing & have always accommodated any requests we have had. The maids do a great job, the other people who stay here have been very kind to us; we've even been given fresh strawberries by complete strangers. We are originally from Laguna Beach & choose to come all the way up here to stay somewhere comfortable for a great price. We ran into the owner one night & he does an excellent job at keeping this place safe."
