Holiday Inn Express & Suites Oakland-Airport, an IHG Hotel 66 Airport Access Road, Oakland, CA 94603

"The hotel is located in a not very nice area , does have a gate around it and the lobby was loud . My first impression was to leave but I had an early flight and it was close to Oakland airport. Front desk people were nice on arrival and departure. Unfortunately there security gate arm came crashing down on my car as I was leaving and the response from hotel was not that helpful. Igbo k this must happen sometimes. The hotel worked for that night but I don’t recommend it nor will I return. And it was not inexpensive"

"so great place [This review is actually about 77 Heken berger Property] The express is 66 Airport Lane and they were generous enough T 66 to accommodate a non refundanle. Kudos to 66. Now back to 77 but BEWARE if you extend your stay THE OTHER Holiday Inn pops up first and in fact is an express that costs a little more. if you book through a third party they say it's nonrefundable immediately. No thanks to the inspired front desk crew who just knew the other hotel could not do anything about it.... I was able to process a refund with Express given the situation of attempting to extend. I wasn't about to move 5 large pieces of luggage AND I loved the beds, linen and pillows. I reminded the nay sayer front desk person that anything is possible in a conversation and a request. after he got my new booking he was very friendly again. you could a swore we were on the set of a Sherlock Holmes murder mystery during the long process."

"I could do without the maids knocking on my door at 9 am asking if I will be checking out at 11 am. I not used to being rushed out of my room before my checkout time. Would be nice if the maid services worked on the rooms with no guests first. There could be better signs showing where rooms are behind emergency exits. They have signs all over the place stating no smoking on the property anywhere otherwise there is a charge of $450 for smoking tobacco outside which is higher than normal. The Tvs turnoff on their own but they offer an option to “press ok to continue watching “ there is no ok button and any button you press for “ok” does not select the “ok” and turns off on its own. They offer a decent breakfast which is this"

"Room was nice and clean. Good location next to the airport. They have a parking lot with ticket based arms to let you in and out. This won't necessarily stop theives but at least slow them down maybe. The lot was at least lit well so it seemed more safe"

"Nice last minute stay for a layover I had 10/22 - 10/23. Customer service was excellent, room was clean, and included breakfast was good. I can’t remember her name but the woman working the front desk that night was so kind to me!"
