Happy Face Childcare and Preschool

"My son, who is 2 years old and speech delayed (which the director said they were "equipped to handle"), came home with a diaper rash so terrible, he was bleeding. Not once but on two separate occasions. Pictures, doctor visits, notes, and formal complaints have all been made. He has had only one rash prior to being at this daycare, and since being home, it has cleared up. The first time it happened, we just let them know that he came home with a diaper rash and chalked it up to the fact that it happens sometimes. They say they check them every hour, but even a doctor said a rash as horrible as his was could "ONLY happen from sitting in feces for a long period of time." When the first one was brought to the attention of the director, we weren't met with empathy or care. She immediately started telling us that our son is "special needs" and "requires a higher level of care." All of the therapists and doctors we see on a regular basis completely disagree and have repeatedly told us that our son has a speech delay but is otherwise a "typical 2 year old." Whether or not my son talks should have no bearing on if he's left to sit in his poop for hours at a time. In fact, after the first incident, one would think that his 'teachers' would be competent enough to check a child who can not communicate when they need a diaper change, more frequently. I guess they just couldn't be bothered with my "special needs" child."

"I have nothing but AMAZING things to say about Happy Face. My little boy loved going to daycare here. He always had a smile on his face when we arrived and always took his sweet time when it was time to leave each day because he loved it so much. I am speaking both as a mom and a teacher, they give amazing quality and loving care to each child individually and as a whole group, and my 2.5 year old learned so much while there. They are always ready to work with you and are great at communicating everything such as behavior, boo-boos, and reminders. Only reason why we left is because my son is now old enough to attend my school but if I wasn't a teacher he'd be going there for as long as possible. The director and teachers value each child with such love and all of them have such big hearts! I highly recommend this place to anyone who is looking for quality care for their little ones!"

We noticed my daughters verbal skills were developing as well as her social skills. They open earlier than other places too which worked out great for me. I would definitely recommend!"

There’s plenty of parking, so you can easily and safely take your child out of the car. The communication is smooth and there’s always someone you can talk to to find out how your child’s day went. This place is also great value for the quality care they offer. Highly recommend!"
