"I started coming to the Newark gym at the mall about a month ago. I have signed up for the BODYPUMP class 3 times using the app. I have only been able to get in the class once. People don’t sign up and go in regardless. So, just know that even if you follow the rules, they are not enforced and people don’t seem to care - both the client and the staff. So, calculate that you will get in a class that you sign up for 33% of the time, not 100% of the time. I really don’t know why I even bother to sign up for classes. Corporate needs to be accountable, bcuz a lot of the clientele doesn’t feel like rules apply to them."

"Just moved to the area and started working out here. I’m usually here during the night. Nobody puts back the free weights. Sanitation is horrible. I’ve yet to see somebody sanitizing or cleaning."

"The place is nice. The only bad thing is that the team at 24hour fitness should go into the Sauna & Steam Room and mention to the people about not to wear there shoes because stinks. Other than that is nice"

"Treadmill section sucks, overall they have less than 15 treadmills more than half is out of order. They are not looking into repairs on time. Shower area is not clean as well. The front desk people are nice but they needs to increase some equipments that are mostly used."

"This gym offers great dance classes. Some of the gym staff members are also a delight to see. However, regarding sanitation, this gym has a lot to do to keep up with good standing standards. I'm not sure about what the local health department states regarding this places sanitation, but it's not ideal in my terms. It's 8am in the morning, and already there is filth lying in the women's restrooms. There is a sweep that next to the filth in front of the showers. There is a blob of hair the size of a hand. As it is dry, it can mean that it's been laying there for a long period of time. Also, pee on the toilet. Do they not want us to use the restrooms? Do they not want us to return? Is this a sanitation hazard? I once brought the hair issue to the General Manager that there is hair laying all over the place, and she proceeded to say that's how things are. I then told her that it could lead to plumbing issues. Many folks here talk to the member regarding the filth, but it is never fixed. As plumbing issues can be a big problem and also, very costly $$$$. I understand this is a two-way process, and the customers ourselves should be responsible for discarding waste in the respectable bins. As I occasionally see lost lashes, used bloody red tampons, rubber bands, and once a bra pad. Please have self responsibility and organizational skills as these two components are proven to help with mental health sanity and make you make money. Also, to wear sandals in the spa area. The sweat and dirt on your sneakers from the outside can grow and multiple in the wet and sweaty spa area. Also, please shower before entering pools as you're bringing dirt from the outside to a pool where people are accidentally drinking the water. If you dont want to be constantly sick and I'll please be clean and sanitary. You will realize that life is so much better, not coughing until your throat hurts."
