Reviews
"The calamari is amazing and the staff are incredible. Thank you for providing this experience. This is the most beautiful crab cake I’ve seen."
"Went for valentines day, This place holds a special spot for my wife and I since we had dinner here after I proposed at Carmel beach. Food was ok 7/10 , service was pretty good 8/10. Two complaints: First they allowed reservations to be booked all they way up to 10 pm( if you allow this as a business be prepared to accommodate, or expect negative feedback). We booked 9:20 reservations and made sure we were ready to order as soon as we got there. Unfortunately 20 minutes into our dinning they started prepping for closing including moving tables around, really ruining the experience and rushing us and some of the other tables out. Second complaint , the price for the food was too high for how boring the menu was. (scallops, sea bass, onion soup, dry aged steak... ) the drinks were pretty good though. If you have money I would recommend giving this spot a shot, but don't expect anything exceptional."
"This place was good. As someone who is not particularly motivated by meat, I found the options to be varied and good nods to California cuisine. I ordered fish and it was quite good! The halibut was cooked well and was juicy. The star of the dish was the ravioli, though. I would here constantly if they served big bowls of this Ravioli. Truly excellent. Maybe they have a future as a pasta spot? I think there could have been some restraint in the presentation of the food. A little less garnish, a little less sauce, a few less ingredients. I think if the chef were to pull back a bit and really focus on the flavors of the ingredients, it could be a truly excellent establishment. Additionally, a few of the items served in bowls came out with food dripping down the sides. At the price point, everything should be pristine. It takes only a little bit of care to ensure a seamless presentation. It's definitely something that should be addressed by the kitchen. The service was good, if a little too good at times, with very eager waiters. I figure in this area people prefer a more hands-on experience whereas I prefer a more hands-off experience. Just a personal preference. They were all very kind and great at their jobs. The atmosphere is somehow lacking, despite the beautiful building. Though I don't think I will ever eat here again personally, it's a good spot worth the stop if you're into this type of food."
"This restaurant left me impressed. The place was clean and sophisticated, creating a pleasant ambiance. The food was delicious, and the service provided by our server, Eric, was outstanding. We ordered the "Niman Ranch rack of lamb" and the "Pinot Noir braised short ribs", both of which were beautifully presented and bursting with flavor. For dessert we enjoyed crème brûlée. The quality of the ingredients and the attention to detail in the cooking were evident in every detail. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a memorable dining experience."
"I mean this is a great restaurant and the food is very well presented. I really love the atmosphere and the service is great. The food though, are all a bit too salty. Especially with no bread it was a bit too flavourful for me - the onion soup, the lamp and the duck, all a bit too salty."
