Higby's Country Feed is a family-owned and operated feed, farm, and ranch supply store located at 8470 Currey Road in Dixon, California. Established in 1984, we have been proudly serving the local communities in Solano and Yolo Counties. Our commitment to excellent customer service, competitive pricing, and quality products has made us a trusted choice for over 25 years.
We specialize in providing the best quality hay available in northern California for horses. Our experienced team carefully evaluates each batch for moisture content, damage, weeds, and other impurities to ensure the highest standards. With a fleet of trucks and a professional crew, we offer delivery services throughout the region for hay, shavings, grain, fencing, panels, and more.
In addition to our feed and farm supplies, we also have baby chicks available from March through May, as well as a variety of breeds and all the necessary feed and supplies for raising a healthy flock. We offer discounts to local 4H and FFA club members who raise livestock, and we support youth livestock auctions in the area.
At Higby's, we understand the importance of saving money for our customers. Our Loyalty Rewards program allows you to earn points for purchases, which can be redeemed for savings on future feed and supplies. Please note that we are closed on New Year's Day, Easter, 4th of July, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. We close at 4:00 pm on Thanksgiving Eve, Christmas Eve, and New Year's Eve. "I drove from Davis, and bought a 50 pound bag of pigeon pellets. When I got home, I discovered that the entire bag was moldy, wet, full of bugs and mold, and smelled strongly of ammonia. I called them, and asked for a refund. They said I had to transport the stinking bag of feed, back to their store, for a refund. When I returned with the rotten feed, my car began to stink from the feed bag. They refunded my money, but didn't seem concerned that they are selling rotten feed, or that I had to spend 40 minutes, driving back out there, to remedy their problem. I will not be back."
