"We have made multiple purchases and spent a lot of money in the Poway location, but this review is for all as part of my issue is with company policy and customer service. Many years ago the service was good and we had no real issues. Our last purchase will be just that, our last. Two months ago I went in to order 3.5 cubic yards of DG. It was a Saturday and the man at the register was gruff and grumpy. I tried to lighten the mood by being very friendly and cheerful. That was not reciprocated. At that time I also bought composite edging for the paths we were putting in our yard. We ended up not using the edging and when I went back to return it AND buy another 2 cubic yards of DG, the same grumpy man was there in his same gruff and grumpy mood. At first I was told there would be a restock fee, though we were looking at the space on the floor next to me that it came from. I totally get a fee for boulders and other such materials but it was literally on the floor next to me. He then called what I am assuming is their main office as he addressed the person by “boss”. I could hear her tell him that it couldn’t even be returned at all because it had been that long. Again, it is literally stocked right there, still available for purchase. I couldn’t get an ounce of understanding or empathy. They couldn’t help me understand why, if it was still there being sold, I wasn’t able to return it unopened by the way. I don’t understand why any business would have such a policy. I did not receive even satisfactory customer service, let alone decent or good customer service. Rather than support a local business that I’ve done a fair amount of business with over many years, I will be going elsewhere and recommend you do as well. I’m sorry to say that but it is my recommendation."

"I have been going to KRC Rock for years. The staff is great, but everytime I go for the past while, there is only one associate working. It seems like he is doing his best, but there is alot of customer demand, so the wait can be long. Not his fault, KRC needs to step up and staff at least one more person to keep up with the obvious demand."
