"Walked In for an edge up. No spoke to me or my son as we walked in. I sat waiting as someone finished a cut, someone swept and another on a smoke break. Several people walked in and business conducted as usual around me and my son. I sat for 15 mins before 2 other haircuts started at which point I asked if they were “appointment only” as the door stated that Sunday’s were “appointment only”. I was met with, “oh yes well today we are appointment only”. My question, at which point would you notify your walk in?"

"Every establishment has an atmosphere. Regardless of the service provided you can tell almost immediately upon entering what it is and how it's managed by patrons and employees. Based on my experience, this is now the only place I will get my hair cut, or facial hair trimmed. We entered on a whim, and sadly not too long before they closed for the day. We did not get a cold shoulder, a sigh, or someone telling us "sorry we're closing soon come back another time". They greeted us warmly and casually - mentioned that they had limited time, but when we said what we were looking to have done, took us in and gave us an amazing experience. We weren't rushed or pushed out the door, they took the time to ensure a proper job was done and a great job at that with a very fair price! We talked and learned about the employees, the store and it's history. At True Standard - you aren't just another customer or a paycheck, you're made to feel welcome and encouraged to be a regular. I definitely will be, and you should try them for yourself - you won't be disappointed! A quick note also - depending on who you does your hair, you may use a card or possibly cash only so make sure you come prepared!"
