"I feel bad when I have to leave bad review on small businesses, but today I have to. I come here every now and then, as I visit this area sometimes. Almost all the ladies here are all nice, great service and great professional technicians. But today, I was taken care of by this man wearing multiple gold rings, tinted glasses.. immediately his attitude was not so great. He seemed to be in such a rush. He was so aggressive with my nail clipping I got so scared, but when he started cleaning my cuticles- two of my fingers started bleeding.. One was so deeply cut as he did it too deeply so fast & I bursted into tears. I was genuinely scared. He said sorry but his whole attitude from the beginning was not great and clearly did not seem to want to do my nails at all. I’m 20 weeks pregnant and prone to infection so I wanted to be cautious and had to switch my nail technician after the bleeding. After this incident, I will not be returning to this salon again… I don’t understand why he even does his job if he doesn’t want to do it. Or at least don’t show that to your customer who is paying you to spend time here. Nail salon needs to feel relaxing and safe, and my experience today was clearly distressing."
"I went for a simple gel nail removal and plain gel nail polish on a short nail and I wasn't disappointed by the service nor the price :) it's a beautiful bright interior with lots of personnel working really hard. My nail tech was an older woman and really gentle with my nails (one of which was chipped before i came in) and was understanding when I didn't like the first 2 coats of my nail polish and wanted to add a new color on top!"
"Vivian is the queen of El Cerrito! Her salon is the brightest, shiniest around. I’ve never had an appointment, and have never had to wait. The abundance of service chairs and staff at all times is a testament to the scale of her business. There seems to be very low turnover on nail technicians. Everyone is highly skilled, and seems to be happy and well taken care of. If you’re going to get your nails done, there’s no better place around."
