"The sign says they take walk-ins so I came in to see if I could get a quick trim. I wasn’t greeted for a few minutes even though one of the stylists wasn’t busy. She finally came up to me and I asked if she could do a trim and she looked me up and down, gave a weird look and said she didn’t have time for me. The other lady chimed in and said she also had no time and to come back in a few weeks."

"Dawn BUTCHERED my hair. When I left the salon I held out hope that it would look better when I styled it, but I was wrong. I told her I wanted to keep my length and shorten some of the layers and she cut off over 2 INCHES all around the top of my head. Most of it could be salvaged, but she gave me choppy, “uneven on purpose” (??) micro bangs, which I didn’t ask for. And she wanted to cut them shorter when it was still wet! I have no choice but to go somewhere else and cut off more of the length, which erases months of progress of growing it out. Never trusting anyone from this salon again."

I go for her color and haircut services as well as deep conditioning for my very dry and brittle hair. Because my hair is damaged, due to medication, I perhaps rely on her creativity and experience more than some clients might need to do. She is an excellent listener, so I have had no difficulty in communicating my preferences and vision. I always leave the salon with the result I’d hoped for. The salon itself is spotless and inviting. The feeling as you walk in is one of safety. Her attention to the detail of Covid hygiene is obvious, and she protects her clients to the max, even providing eye protective wash cloths when she washes your hair. In spite of all the burdensome requirements of working in these circumstances for professionals like her, she doesn’t pass the burden on to you. Her focus remains on you, the client. My conversation with her, is as with a trusted family member. An incidental part of the positive experience, I think , is the terrific location of her salon right next to ‘Big Nugget’. There is lots of available parking, and a wide open plaza with spaced tables for your moment of outdoor social distancing.
