Youth Villages, located at 7410 Memphis Arlington Road in Memphis, Tennessee, is dedicated to improving the lives of children and families across the country. With over 35 years of experience, Youth Villages offers a variety of programs and services aimed at preserving and restoring families. They believe that every child deserves the opportunity to reach their dreams and work tirelessly to advocate for positive, long-term change in child welfare, juvenile justice, and children's mental health systems.

Youth Villages strives to preserve and strengthen families, allowing children to grow up safely in their own homes and providing services to young adults transitioning out of foster care.

Through innovative, evidence-based, family-focused services, Youth Villages aims to bring help and hope to children and families in need. They partner with organizations and agencies nationwide to transform children's systems and deliver better results one child and one family at a time.

Former participants like Mariah and Joshua share their stories of how Youth Villages programs have positively impacted their lives. By providing outdoor recreational therapy, mentorship, and education, Youth Villages is breaking generational cycles and helping young people reach their full potential.

If you share a passion for helping children and families succeed, Youth Villages invites you to get involved. "I was there for around 9 months when i was 14. When you first get to the place and your bein shown around it seema ok. The staff are prettg nice, and the teachers and teachers assistants(staff but in classrooms) were pretty nice. Within not even an hour of me bein there kids were gettin into fights and the staff were puttin the kids into a "hold" which is sopposed to be a staff member reatraining the kid or kids from fighting until they calm down, but all it is, is multiple staff holding the kid threataning them if they move or squirm around, throughout my stay there i witnessed at least 1 everyday, and at some points there would be staff that had personal issues with the kid purposly tryna hurt them in the "hold". Overall i got the help i needed and got put on the right medicine to treat me. But the trauma that came with the place wasnt worth it. Most mornins i would wake up scared to death because the kids in there are rutheless and just start beatin other kids for no reason. I dont recommend anyone bein sent there. They might get the help they need, but they will also carry around the trauma of the everyday bullcrap that went on in there."

"My daughter was here and I am going to say that i called CPS on staff and so did her caseworker as they assaulted her on a few occassions. When CPS came they decided to not do anything even though there were numerous complaints, but my daughter refused to talk to CPS because she said they were laughing with staff and talking to them like they were friends. They removed that staff member from her cottage and allowed her to go work in another one, but when my daughter would see her on campus she would stare my daughter down and purposely try to talk the staff memember that was with my daughter and try to intimidate her even though she was told not too. She and her friends there also said that staff deleted stuff from the videos before CPS would show up. We are from out of state and our state canceled their contract with them because of all the abuse claims and problems with them that numerous children from our state made. If I didn't answer the phone they told my daughter that I didn't love her and I didn't want her. They did that to the other girls too as well as called them B!@#$es and who*es. When my daughter got her autism diagnosis the same staff member that assaulted her told her she knew something was wrong with her because she is slow. They kept all of her belongings and never sent them back hom after she left like they were supposed to and we even served them with a court order to return her stuff and they never responded to the numerous emails that the caseworker sent to them. I understand that working with children who have special needs as well as behavioral needs is difficult, but that's your job and you should not be talking down on and abusing children. I would not send my child here."
