"Classic Barrio Logan staple. Really liked the basic cheeseburger with the chile gueros. Ingredients are fresh, tasty, and savory. The animal style fries or Jimi fries as they are coined, are pretty tasty. Would return. Price point is a bit high, but I’d say every now and then it’s totally worth it. The art direction within the space is spontaneous and gives a street art style which is cool. I should mention the staff is great and relaxed, too."
"Stopped by Hayes Burger last night and loved it. Hayes is a small business that deserves more attention in my opinion. A helpful young man helped us right as we walked in. They have a simple menu of cheeseburgers or grilled cheese and fries. The burgers are absolutely delicious and, as the menu says, smashed to perfection. Fries are crispy and delicious and you can have them with regular or spicy ketchup. Hayes has a few stools and countertop inside and several tables available outside to eat at. Parking is strictly on the street and can be somewhat difficult at times. I highly recommend trying them and am looking forward to going back soon."

"Big flavors! Will be back soon! The crew at Hayes Burger were friendly, respectful, and provided 5 star service. My initial thought was that In-N-Out but with a more home made taste (mom and pop, small business quality type of food) I really like their fries — I got the ones with the chopped chilies in it. The burger was flavorful, structured pretty well, with a decent sized patty. They also have these cool mushroom chairs up front and has extra seatings on the side near the freeway."
