"This shop is soooo underrated. We came across this shop due to a long wait at BP. And it turned out great. A hidden gem in the Cerritos area. They have a wide variety of hot pots and soup, and the tastes are flavorful. Free tea at lunch and dinner. No line and fast service."

"This is not your typical communal hot pot dining experience - instead of ordering separate plates of various uncooked meat and veggie ingredients to be cooked in a soup base broth with fellow companions at your table, individual pre-assembled bowls of soup are delivered to each diner. (A portable burner keeps the soup bubbling and hot while you eat.) Although this is a convenient concept for those who prefer not to mix their food with others, personally for me this defeats the fundamental appeal behind the hot pot format. The pre-set meal removes the interactive experience of selecting each bite of food and cooking it yourself, watching the soup get increasingly richer as layers of flavor are added over the course of the evening. Also, because the elements of each soup are predetermined, it's not as flexible or customizable as a traditional hot pot. You're basically committing to the entire list of ingredients whether you like them or not. Format aside, the flavors of the dishes were quite good and there were some notable highlights: - Appetizer that I believe was fried fish cake: light and crispy on the outside, pleasantly chewy on the inside with a slightly mochi-like texture. - Tomato tofu soup: a different take on the traditional hot pot base, reminiscent of a good hearty tomato veggie stew but with Chinese ingredients."

"Last night (10-17-2022), we took my mom to this restaurant to try out. It wasn't as busy as it was my first time. I noticed a couple new people and the owners were there to train the new staff. Service was a lot better and more attentive than before. It's a good sign for a change. Cups of water was served after being seated. Prompt slushy drink was served. Our food was served promptly thereafter. My aunts ordered the Thai Style and Milky Cheese, my mom ordered the Popcorn Chicken and I ordered the Sukiyaki. I must say that the Sukiyaki is a sweet soup probably because of the crab and it comes with udon in it. It was tasty. Everyone enjoyed their orders and the fire experience of their soups. By check-out time, we were given their promo discount, buy 3 soups and get 1 soup free. It's a good deal for groups of 4 or more people. We were also given a sample dessert of their honey jello at the end. It was a nice gesture. My family will come again soon. ---- First time (10-5-2022) going to this restaurant. The male server deterred us from ordering an appetizer because the soup itself is a lot of food. I understood what he meant, but he didn't know that I was ordering for my mom. I ordered the taro milk tea, which didn't come first as I had expected. Granted the restaurant was busy at the time upon arrival. We didn't get any cups of water while waiting for our food like the other customers. I received the soup first and maybe 10 minutes after, I received the milk tea with no apology for the delay. I ordered the pumpkin pot soup. It was good. I wished it had more pumpkin in it. Their pictures of the soups can be deceiving. Each soup comes in their own pot. Ignore the size options from their menu. The soup was boiling hot which is an experience in itself. Don't go when you're super hungry or you'll burn your mouth/tongue like how I did. I ordered the popcorn chicken appetizer to-go. I understand that they're short staffed but their customer service could have been better. When I got home, the appetizer wasn't packed in a good steady container. The bag that they used soaked up the oil and the chicken fell out inside the plastic carry-out bag. I rated this review with 2-stars."

"Wow...this spot is straight fire on all levels! Flavor, spice, customer service, portions...everything! I love the variety and selection of their menu, all styles of soups ranging from Taiwanese to Thai to Japanese. All the ingredients are hefty and not skimpy like Boiling Point. They actually give you generous portions! Everything was so flavorful, I haven't enjoyed soup like that in a while. Now for the kicker.... their milk teas and green teas are the freaking best! There are 2 milk tea places next door to them and this place smashes them both. I can't believe I slept on this spot for months. Its definitely my go to for soup from now on!"
