"I called and easily made an appointment to meet with Steve at his store. He had shoes ready for me to try on. Steve’s enthusiasm and product knowledge comes across in a low key, personable and helpful way. This led to a purchase of a pair of shoes with a proper fit that I had been wanting. I also learned more about the fine shoe brands I like. There was no pressure or any sales baloney. Steve also included shoe trees and polish with my purchase. There just isn’t a better place to buy fine men’s shoes anywhere in Southern California. I’ll be back again."

"Highly recommend. I tried and purchased Carmina shoes and had a great experience. Note: shop is open by appointment only. Steve is very knowledgeable and runs the shop solo. He’s able to provide guidance for beginners (e.g. which brands have recently dropped in quality). Price is reasonable compared to other sellers. I believe Steve is the only carrier of new Carmina shoes in San Diego. The shop also carries Alden, Edward Green, and Crocket & Jones as of last week."

He helped me in finding my ideal shoe size and explained the mechanics of the shoe relative to the size I ended up getting.
