"Sadly, I’m disappointed that I didn’t listen to reviews and when ahead to visit on a sunny Saturday, walk about 7 blocks with children only to discover the store was closed this Saturday. CALL FIRST! Don’t expect to show up in need of a hat this might not be the place. Casual stroll and “oh an open hat store” is probably the customer base. Sorry I cannot give a better review."

Before opening time, the owner of the shop saw me and my two young-adult daughters peering into the window like little children looking into a magical candy shop! She came to the door and let us right in, even though she still had work to do before opening for the day. What a treat to find this store! And ladies, if you are looking for a lovely hat to wear for opening day at the Del Mar Fair Horse Races, this is absolutely the place to come to!!! -Tanya"

I must have tried on 40 hats, but they helped me find just the right one for me. If you require a custom designed hat for a ritzy event, the owner is highly trained in the traditional arts of hat making and applies her decades of experience to her profession. I was simply looking to block the sun and am happy I found the right place."

"Highly recommend. The most wonderful hat shop around. We travel to Laguna Beach every year and look forward to seeing the store owner and artist, and buy hats! Paula is very gifted, very kind, and we always feel welcomed. Take the negative remarks about customer service with a grain of salt, consider the source. Her hats range from affordable fine quality to her own creations, works of art, for special occasions. Please be respectful when coming into a hat shop. I have seen people handle the hats in a way that made me cringe. Paula cares deeply about her craft, she has a long history surrounding hats, and is a precious jewel in our minds. I recently purchased a beautiful purple hat that Paula designed. It is my pride and joy."
