"they made me a custom 3/4 lb burger plus bacon. it was honestly one of the best burgers I have ever had in my life. the bun was oversized and soft on the top and toasted on the bottom - the flavor was perfect too. all the condiments and toppings. no cheese. 1/4 pound beef patty 1/4 pound beef brisket 1/4 pound corned beef several slices of bacon. delicious. I was oohing and ahhing while eating it... the kitchen staff was wondering if I was asking for more condiments and the boss said no... I was just enjoying the burger so much! it really hit the spot! (my burger cravings!)"

"Really nice New York style deli in the middle of corona Del Mar village. Has nice little patio in the back. Sandwiches are nice and stacked except for the pastrami. They range $10-$12 and you can upgrade to large for $5. Long lines to order at lunch time and long wait time but I think it’s worth it if you have a craving for a deli sandwich."

"Gary's is indeed our favorite sandwich shop to visit in CDM. After a beach walk at Crystal Cove, we build up that appetite for a good sandwich after. Husband chose the New York special with corned beef. Stacked with corned beef, Swiss cheese, cole slaw, Russian dressing, rye bread. My choice was and always will be the Oven fresh roasted turkey. Mustard, mayo, lettuce, tomato, onions, squaw bread. Added a side of potato salad and cole slaw. super fresh and tasty. Drinks: iced tea as it always pairs well with any sammiches. And we had to try it, the fresh Banana shake - so good! I think there's an oreo cookie in it. yum! Quality of all ingredients has maintained, even during covid times. I totally appreciate that they are able to stay open for their customers. Service is not fast like fast food places. All sammiches are made to order and are as fresh as can be. Be patient. It will definitely pay off. Please keep them safe and covid-free. We need Gary's as much as they need us. And remember to tip generously. Happy eats!"
