"The new security measures are too much, but what really is frustrating is that 3 times I have come here to get something from the pharmacy area that’s locked. I pressed the button to have an employee come unlock it and no one ever came, every time. This store also never has enough checkstands open. Self checkout is great but if you need help or approval at self checkout, good luck. There aren’t always employees there to help you. Then, you have to scan your receipt at self checkout in order to leave. Everything takes so much longer at this store now."
"Great Safeway. Well run. Not like the one on pleasant valley and Broadway, where the executive staff of Safeway, make four employees run the entire store, while 100 people are waiting to get checked out. Not fair to the employees. The employees are great? Safeway, listen. Stop short staffing these stores to make money. We know whose fault it is and it's not the workers there. This store on college avenue, on the other hand being about 1/4 the size, had six check out people working to keep things flowing. Kudos to Safeway workers! Thumbs down to Safeway managerial executive management or whoever's responsible in their ivory towers. Boo!"
