"We wanted to try a new sushi place, this is going to be our new favorite! We tried the gyoza, Dragon Roll, Hamachi Lovers roll, and the Tropical Dream roll. Everything was delicious and very fresh (which is saying something since we went towards closing time on a Monday night). The service was very friendly and the prices were very reasonable. Great spot for date night!"

"Aji Sushi and Grill is a formal and informal (depending on your mood) Asian cuisine restaurant located on Mendocino Avenue in Santa Rosa. It is apart of the Mendocino Market Place which is a plaza area. There is handicapped parking as well as wheelchair accessibility to the restaurant. I think this place was a bit over priced, but their food was pretty good. I had ordered the unagi nigiri and my guest had the ramen. The unagi nigiri, which is barbecued fresh water eel, had a lot of flavor and melted in my mouth. I enjoyed their white rice. I loved the seaweed that came on the side, so crunchy and moist. The celery and yellow fruit was a nice touch. My guest had mentioned it wasn’t the best ramen he’s had, but it was pretty good. They do have vegetarian options like cucumber rolls and more. I loved how at the end of the meal when they gave you your check they also give you the little Asian yogurt drinks. So creamy and nice touch for the customers! They are definitely kid friendly as there are plenty of families that dine here. The servers there were attentive and polite. I loved their choice of decor. I had tried this restaurant around the holidays and they had a very simple yet sophisticated look to their choice of Christmas decorations. To the beautiful people of Sonoma County and visitors abroad I would definitely give Aji Sushi a try. It was good food, but one time may be enough. I wouldn’t come here frequently based on their prices."

"The chicken katsu lunch special was tasty, as was the beef teriyaki bento box. The chicken was nicely cooked. The beef teriyaki was tasty. We also ordered the baby lobster roll, it was nice but overall the plate had a bit too much sauce resulting in it being a bit mushy in texture. The server was attentive and helpful. Overall it was a pleasant experience and we shall return."

"I've frequented the area but haven't really stopped by at Aji Sushi until one weekend. The place doesn't seem like a go-to spot from the outside but the interiors & decor were actually very nice! It wasn't too crowded on a Saturday afternoon but mid-sized to big groups kept coming and going. I got seated near the bar area and immediately felt welcomed/at ease. The staff are very friendly and attentive. They keep checking with you on whether your order is up to your liking or not. I got the beef udon from their special menu and the dragon roll from their regular one. Both of which I'm not too convinced were good- mediocre at best. It tasted okay but just wasn't the standard flavor I'm used to. The beef udon seemed lacking. It was not too flavorful. I have always looked to marugame udon as a standard and this didn't cut it for me. The dragon roll is kind of the same, the taste was okay but it isn't like how your good dragon roll would taste like. I left not too satisfied and couldn't finish the udon. Quite costly. I should have looked at other food reviews prior to ordering"

"Friendly atmosphere. Great food choices. I had the bento box with three items and it was a lot of food. Tempura was crisp, the ratio of meat for the tonkatsu was perfect, loved the salad... Get there early for lunch, it gets packed."
