"Finally decided to check out this cute little restaurant in little italy. I went here for a date night with one of my girlfriends this past monday. We are planning to order their three course fixed menu, but the online version was outdated, the new fixed menu includes a bottle of wine. Which is great, but unfortunately I'm doing dry january, so we decided to not go with their fixed menu. They still have happy hour during this time, so we actually ordered all of our food off the happy hour menu! Which was pretty impressive that they had that amount of variety of food options. We ordered the parmesan fries and garlic knots to start. And we each ordered the rigatoni pasta. The had a surprising kick to it. But it's very flavorful and fresh. Garlic knots seems like something simple, but somehow they made it taste so yummy. The fries were also crisp to perfection, in the parmesan was a perfect compliment. We sat in their outdoor section which is enclosed with heaters, I actually liked this Vibe more than the proper indoor restaurant. Overall, had a great experience. Food was great, service was great, Ambience was adorable. This is a great spot for a dinner date. I will definitely go back to try their fixed menu and other entrees!"

"I found Allegro on social media as a great option for dinner. Social media tends to exaggerate things, so walking in was a little underwhelming. The green vine background with Allegro shining in pink looks great on Instagram but isn't anything much when you see it IRL. The restaurant also comes across as much bigger than it is IRL. We had reservations but got there an hour early and were seated immediately. I got the Sauvignon Blanc because it was from NZ and my friend got the Riesling, which is what I normally go for. For food, we ordered the Ravioli Ossobuco and the Fettuccine Pesto E Gamberi. The Sauvignon was divine. I'm so happy Allegro has them because I have recently fallen in love with NZ Sauvignon Blanc and I will drink it every chance I get. The Riesling was also very very good. The Ravioli Ossobuco was a shredded veal stuffed ravioli in a creamy Marsala sauce. I loved that the Marsala was teeming with mushrooms. I don't know if they added cheesy or flour base to the sauce because it was a little heavier than I usually like it. The whole dish was very tasty but I only ended up eating about half of it. On Day 2 and 3, the dish only got heavier so I had even smaller portions. So my complaint with this dish is that their portion is too big ha ha! The Fettuccine was also delicious. I would've liked more Pesto because what is life without excess Pesto?? My friend wanted to substitute the shrimp for chicken. I'm glad the server talked us out of it because somehow that plate would've tasted wrong with chicken. We ended the meal with a limoncello digestive shot. That was delicious. I could've had another one. I was sad to know that they didn't have any gelato or tiramisu that night. The food here is great. It is on a higher pricing side. I just wouldn't come here hoping to be wowed by the ambiance as seen on social media. Parking is always an issue in this area so look for street parking or public lots. We parked a couple of streets away in one of the lots."

"Came in for dinner to try their Italian dining experience menu. You get an appetizer, entree, and dessert for around $38. What a deal! And it was a lot of food too. My friend really liked her Espresso martini. Their enclosed outdoor patio was really cute and warm with the patio heaters on. I suggest sitting there rather than inside as it feels more special."

"Lives the vibe of this place. They extended the seating outside and it is out in the open and you can see the buzz of the street. The food was good, but they don't serve their cheese wheel after 6pm. 4 out of the 8 of us wanted it and understood that it takes more time as there is a wait but they wouldn't budge. It didn't state this on the menu or anywhere as that would have changed our mind. But I never had to ask for more water or bread and the pasta is all homemade. Great place if you have a group as we did. The hubby got the seafood pasta!! We also got the calamari and garlic knots."
