Crystal Cove Shake Shack

"I've been coming here for years and after my most recent visit, it still holds up and is definitely worth a visit! Things you need to know: - This IS NOT the Shake Shack chain that we all know. It's just a cliffside burger/shake place that shares the same name - During meal times, the parking lot is TINY and there will be a line of cars--sometimes (and dangerously) out into the highway - If the line goes out into the highway, the wait will be quite long and I suggest being safe about it and just choosing a different place to eat Besides that though, the vibes and views are amazing and it's great to enjoy some delicious refreshing shakes and a burger on a nice sunny day. The burger itself was tasty but it's honestly nothing special. In N Out burgers are better than this. All the shakes and the cajun fries are delicious though so enjoy! Food: 4/10 Service: 6/10 Atmosphere: 9/10 Value: 5/10"

"We visit California 5-6 times a year and always see this fun bright yellow building we finally had time before our flight out to stop here and try it out, the shakes were delicious and had a lot of good flavor unlike other places and the food was pretty good too, it gave mom and pop vibes! The view was breathtaking!! We will definitely make this our new tradition before we head to the airport! Shakes : chocolate strawberry - you could taste both flavors individually which I loved! It was a delicious chocolate covered strawberry in a shake! Banana cream pie - was absolutely delicious nice chunks of banana and delicious flavor, tasted just like a pie!"

"A really nice spot off the cliff of the beach. Went during a cloudy day but it was still active and nice. Overlooking the beach and its amazing view. A nice spot for a gathering with a few friends and family. A nice date spot. Great food and amazing shakes. A few of the staff are super friendly but there were one or so grumpy workers. Besides that this is a great place."

"I have always passed this place but have always wanted to go, but they are usually super busy! I went on a Tuesday afternoon during sunset and it wasn't super busy for once! My bf and I got to sit along the railing and watch the sunset as we ate our burgers, fries, and shake. Although it wasn't a super fancy restaurant, the food was great and the view was spectacular. 10/10 in my book. The fries were great (shoestring style) and shake was awesome. My only knock is that the patty was under seasoned and it made the burger a little bland. Still juicy, but it needed a Lil more seasoning to bring it to perfection."

"This place, at least for my family, is a special treat. I have 3 kids (8-12) and it cost us $103 to eat here. For us this is expensive. We drove from upper OC to make a Friday night memory. It was late September when we went and the weather was nice. Cloudy yes but it was peaceful there and comfortable. Food was very good. We all had burgers and fries and shared 4 shakes while I had a club sandwich that was very tasty. Great views! PARKING IS VERY SMALL! Be prepared to wait to park, and people, please be courteous and not park there to just hang out. Let other people enjoy the food and views as well. Thank you."
