Lowe's Home Improvement

"As a former employee I will not do business with Lowe's again. When I was hired, I agreed to a certain schedule and within the first week they changed it and forced me to adhere or threaten firing me. I learned that this was a common practice. Management was unreliable and unprofessional, where a manager even responded to a new hire's question with, "Figure it out, we all have our problems". Tried to complain to district management but soon realized that this is an ANTI-WHITE environment. Most of the recent managers hired were Hispanic and was chosen specifically by the district manager who is also Hispanic. When she would visit the store, she often spoke very poorly and gossiped about some of the employees in Spanish (not know I understand Spanish) and provided preferential treatment. When I and other employees tried to complain to district HR, the response was "it's hard to hire for that store". Only later I found out that both the district manager and HR were friends and were hired together. The garden center had a rat infestation and management decided to lay out poison. We the employees were then cleaning up dead, poisoned, and sometimes rotting/decomposing rats exposing us to stuff that could make us sick. After that bees starting building a hive and again management sprayed poison wiping out the bees. Overall the management created problems and never was truly helpful. Corporate was worse and one week someone would come in saying we needed to change the table layout and the following week we're changing it again. As always it was the lowly employees that make the store run amd get nothing for it. I regret giving my time to this company."

"I had to wait 20 minutes at the help button even after I talked to a cashier to get help on a toolbox. Then the guy tries to sell me the dented floor display so he didn't have to look for a different one until I told him I was gonna go to Ace the he magically for another floor display but without dents. The fun part was when I paid there was 5 workers standing by the one register that was open and I could see another guy standing by the help button in plumbing."

"I called four times before giving in and having to go physically into the store to schedule someone to come out to install a front door and give me an estimate. Well today no one showed up. No one called me. I have spent the last 10 minutes on the telephone trying to get through to someone to no avail.Bill The associate who scheduled the appointment with me for today told me that John who was coming out was wonderful. Well that wonderful john did not show up and didn’t bother to call me either. In the past we had a toilet installed and we ended up getting it completely for free because of the horrible service we received with the installation company and the horrible customer service I received from a Lowe's assistant manager. This time we are experiencing the same horrible service with trying to put in a door. My Husband I think has finally agreed with me that we should take our business elsewhere. Last week we were in the store and got a 10% discount off of a blowup Christmas display because of the horrible service that we received. Actually Doug the manager had to get up himself and take it down because his associates couldn’t do their job. It’s unfortunate that your customer service is so terrible that I will be forced to take my business elsewhere."
