"AMBIENCE: Came here at the buttcrack of dawn LOL no one else but my friend were here. Long old school diner counter and booths lining the walls. FOOD: Good food! my eggs benedict was tasty and the potatoes were seasoned! I wasn't expecting generous portions though, so that was a nice bonus. Coffee was decent. OVERALL: Depending when you go, you'll be hit with either a line or being the only ones there. And it's a super short walk to the beach."

"This place is awesome! Great service and even better food. When people come from out of town and they want to visit Coronado, I always tell them to go to this diner."

"Very busy diner with delicious holiday drinks. I had traditional sunny side up eggs, bacon, sausage with waffle. It was delicious as the waitress brought salsa for my eggs. My friends ordered machaca eggs with choice of black beans , refried beans or house potatoes. Everything was good but the atmosphere was remarkably feeling of a real diner from the past. The service was great as well. Parking on street."

"We were visiting San Diego for the afternoon and we hadn't had coffee or lunch so we decided to give Clayton's Coffee Shop a try. The red and white color scheme was catchy. My daughter is a fan of the "local" coffee shop. To our surprise, Clayton is a cute shop like the 60's diner with tons of food options. I wanted cappuccino and cheese sticks. My daughter got the gingerbread dirty chai drink and my husband got the Cubano panini and season fries, so yummy. Everything tasted delicious! Our waiter was sincere and quick with the service. Definitely will come back again the next time we are in Coronado."

"Great old-fashioned diner and coffee shop on Coronado's main drag, and not far from the Hotel del Coronado, complete with jukeboxes (though make sure yours works before inserting coins). Prices are a little high, especially for the kind of restaurant it is, but they certainly don't skimp on the portions. Went for a late lunch on a Saturday afternoon and it was still fairly busy. Service remained friendly and prompt, however. Ordered a breakfast burrito with spicy sausage and french toast w/ scrambled eggs and sausage. All were great!"
