"This place has never disappointed me when it comes to food. The portions are large and everything tastes great. The outdoor seating is very comfortable but the electric heaters overhead can be a bit too much. They have no way to lower the heat, but think if they installed an adjustable switch it will be perfect. The service was overall great except they have a hidden up charge for the Martinis. Why can’t they just tell you upfront ? The manager, a tall large lady was very abrupt. She was trying to take the drinks knowing that we were still drinking. She stood there to force someone in our party to drinks it. My leftover plate was removed without asking me if i wanted it to go. Otherwise we have been eating here multiple times on special occasions because it is pricey. The bar is the best in Carmel by the sea and the wine selection is excellent."

"Food and drinks were delicious. There four of us and we tried the country fried mushrooms, the ribeye, the short ribs, and the black cod. Everything was great! Desserts were also pretty good. Service was a little on the slow side and they split our check in half without asking how we wanted it split (my husband and I had a lot more to drink than the other couple) but we still enjoyed ourselves. Better service would have elevated the meal even more."

"Sat outside in December, well heated patio. Great service from our waiter, Colin. Really loved the octopus and meatballs appetizers. The oxtail papardelle was a little salty with strong shitake flavor. The West Indian chicken curry wasn’t spicy enough for my husband. My daughter loved her butternut squash tagliatelle. Overall, a very pleasant dining experience."

"This place was recommended a staff at Wraft Tasting Room. We didn't have a reservation but to our surprise we hit the jackpot. Perfect ambiance, service and food. Staff were attentive and kind. The location is a little tucked away but a nice away from the busy downtown area. Ps. Excellent wine list."

"We ate dinner here for our first night in Carmel and it was amazing. We arrived early in hopes of getting a drink at the bar and since the bar was full, Sunny went out of his way to set us up a cocktail table on the patio. Sunny- thank you so much for delivering the best customer service, being attentive, and for your upbeat personality. Our server Colin was great, as well. He went out of his way to suggest his favorite spots in town. From the food, drinks, service, and ambience I highly recommend this restaurant. All in all, you set high expectations to the start of our anniversary trip. Thank you again for the exceptional service!"
