"I do not like leaving reviews but this experience was just horrible! Made an appointment for oil change (included in service agreement) get there at 1 p.m. " we cant do it today because we dont have technicians". NO prior calls to say pls do not come in today because of whatever the case. wasted entire day. Got an appointment for 7 days later. Reach there said we cant find your service contract for oil change. Reminded them i have done oil change here prior pls look vin number. FINALLY they found it tried up selling which i declined. They said it will be 3 to 4 HOURS!!!!! WOW. After an hour or so i get a call and the manager says the tech who was pulling the car to the "lift" got sensor wires caught in it and will need to order parts and replace it. By now i was beyond frustrated and reminded manager i had prior plans to be somewhere. He then says "do you want us to get a rental??". Then had to get a rental put down deposit and made it to the shop to check on the car, OMG the whole bumper was off and him showing me what the issues were and i see another piece broken and he says it was like that. ARE YOU F SERIOUS! told him no that was part of your PROFESSIONAL TECH who did that. Next day its almost 3 pm no updates called them and asked status needed. "Yea its ready ummm bring us copy of rental receipt. Got the car so far so good. Later that night put car in drive it reads a safety sensor warning ( cant detect right side collision sensor) take it back to kia service 8 A M next day. Sorry no technicians who knows about that, bring it on Monday. UNBELIEVABLE!!! WORST SERVICE CENTER"

"Always made sure to keep me up to date on the status of my vehicle. They also made us aware of a maintenance issue on our Kia that could have been a long term problem. Great service advisor team as well."

"Car: 2022 Kia Stinger GT 1st Encounter: This is my second encounter with Kia of Oakland. Firstly, if you take your vehicle here to get work done and the service is covered under warranty they will place your vehicle and its services on the back burner. My first encounter was due to my filter needing replacement (leak) and coolant changed . That service should have taken 5 hours max, this service took them 5 days to complete. I dropped my car off on Saturday 11/25/23 at 9:20am. They left the spilled coolant on my engine upon return of my vehicle. Very tacky! Also, prior to receiving my vehicle back I called multiple time from the number that I had on file. Prior to the initial call ending, I asked Martina to provide me with the ETA of my car being completed. She hung up on me mid question. They allowed the phone to ring multiple times and not answer my calls. I was very professional and respectful prior to. Once I called from my second cell phone I got an answer on the second ring. I asked to speak with a manager since my calls were ignored. Instead of the male that answered transferring me to a Manager upon my request, he transferred me to Martina. She advised that my car would be done on Thursday 11/30/23. I picked my car up at 5pm 11/30/2023. 2nd Encounter: I dropped my car off at 8am yesterday (12/19/23) to get my trim replaced on my vehicle since the color is fading away. This service is also covered under warranty. Martina advised that this process should take 1 full day to complete which is why I dropped my car off on my day off. Martina called me yesterday at 2:56pm and advised that the process would take a little longer since they were short technicians. She advised that my vehicle should be done by 11am on Wednesday (today 12/20/2023). I asked Martina if there was anything wrong she reassured me that it was ONLY that they were short techs. I called this morning at 8:20 to ensure that my car would be done at 11am. I spoke with a lady who advised that, based on what my work order reflected, my car will not be done today since a part that came in came broken. I was advised then that an order was placed yesterday afternoon, so my car should be ready to be picked up by Thursday 12/21/23. - Standard practice should be to always open shipments, prior to working on a clients vehicle. That simple process will ensure that everything is up to par within that order as soon as it is received. Clearly those are not standard operations at Kia Oakland. Checking the items in my shipment could’ve prevented me from being without my car for 3 days for a service that normally takes one day to complete. I could’ve rescheduled my appointment for another day. I asked to speak with a manager. The manager of the day got on the phone and didn’t advise of his name. For all I know I could’ve been speaking with another associate. That manager/associate advised that he will have his superior call back at 9:30am and it is now 10:50am with not even an email or voicemail from anyone at Kia Oakland. Martina and all other associates need training on how to be honest respectable associates. Martina is a liar and it was extremely unnecessary and unprofessional to lie to me about the status of my service. The truth would’ve have been much more acceptable than a blatant LIE!! Maybe everyone should be on one accord if lying is a part of what you guys pride yourselves on over there!"

"I worked with advisor Leurm who was very helpful from start to finish. This is a smaller shop and I was made aware their wait times could be very long. Accommodations for a Lyft were offered and declined as I wanted to walk around and get some food. When I let them know I set aside 3 hours for an oil change they noted it and said they would try to make sure I was taken care of by then. Very smooth from start to finish. Highly recommended."

"The service advisor, Albert, gives me excellent service. He first has a detail visual check on my vehicle before write up the service and provides detail explanation about the service report afterward. The wait time is acceptable. The service lounge is a bit small but do provides drinks and a TV. The place is clean."
