"I used to hate shopping here, but with inflation and the ridiculous prices at Safeway I sucked it up and decided to give them a try. I was pleasantly surprised. The prices are awesome and their customer service is superior. I recently purchased giftcards at another location and there was issues with activating them, I spoke with the manager here, Ryan and he went above and beyond to get the situation handled even though it had nothing to do with him or his store. If you're someone that tried shopping here years ago and weren't a fan, I highly recommend giving them another shot. They've made a lot of improvements."
"My family is a big fan of Grocery Outlets. Although they carry the same name, they’re actually all locally run. It could be good or bad. Operations-wise it’s good, but the staff and customer service can be a world of difference. My wife and I took our kids to go shopping, our kids behaved themselves well, though a staff member, a mid-aged long hair Caucasian lady, kept giving us the look as if we were not welcomed there. When I stopped to pick up some stuff, she would come to the shelf to act as if she was organizing it so I could make way. I didn’t say a word and just dodged, then she gave me a rude look and sighed. Since we were the only Asians in the store, I even wondered if that was the reason. Won’t go there again."
