"I won’t be back! I called and made an appointment with the shop owner. She asked what I wanted and what time I could come in. The day before my appointment I get a text from the owner confirming my appointment and asking me to come in early if possible. I wasn’t given a total when I called and made my appointment so I confirmed how much it would be I was told “normally 190 but this time 150. I got boho braids done by Tu who asked me what size and length. When I was done with my appointment, I gave her 160, as I was pulling off in my car Tu ran outside and told me that my total was actually 220. This was not told to me before she started my hair and again I was sent a text the day before telling me it would be 150. The shop owner came outside, and eventually stated that she thought that she was texting a different customer and not myself. I got a simple “I’m sorry”, but was told that 220 was still the total. Both Tu and the shop owner stood outside my car for at least 10 minutes going back-and-forth about what the total was “supposed to be”. Infuriated, I told them that I would not be back and had to drive to my bank to pull cash since they promote that they do not accept any other payment types. Because I had to do this and go back to the shop I was late to work for my other job. Ladies, if you are use to professionalism, do not go to the shop. I tried to support my fellow African-Americans and this was my first time at their shop, but they disappoint every other time. Read the lower star reviews and you’ll know what I’m talking about. *Update!!! And the owner decides to reply to my review not even making sense and speaking in non English sentences. Please know how to choose you’re words before responding. Then she’s trying to say it was 250 now so it’s gone from 190 to 150 to 220 now 250"
