"First the good stuff - We saw a flock of wild turkey just off the Prairie Trail (about 20-30). They flew in across the meadow and lighted just at the tree-line. We also saw a bald Eagle. At first we were sure it was a Caracara because it was perched near a vulture, but as we got closer it became clear it was an eagle. The interpretive center is very nice. Be careful if you walk out front though as what looks like steps is a ledge. Not sure how that passed inspection, as it needs railing. I was told I am not the first person to step off of it by mistake. Nice camping areas. There are three levels of Camping. 1. Full hook-ups. 2. Drive-up and walk in. 3. Hike in (although the hike is only 1/2 mile on a well maintained dirt road). We decided to make reservations for next month at one of the drive-up/walk-in sites to see how it is. Restrooms - Squeaky clean. Main facilities are perfect. There are also several pit toilets throughout the park. Nicest pit toilets I have ever encountered. Nice play ground near a large pavilion. The Bad: We hiked 6 miles of "trails" today. I can't say whether or not the rest of the park is this way, but every inch of the six miles we hiked was on very well maintained dirt roads. All but a couple of places could be traversed by a Honda Prius. So, not really trails. The trail signs. We joked that whoever created these signs had never hiked a day in their life. We even gave them a name - "The Trail Riddler". Because 1/2 of the signs were truly a riddle to figure out. The poop: This is an equestrian park that allows pedestrians to hike the trails. To be fair, not every trail allows horses. Because of all the horse poop, no one is really inclined to pick up their dog poop. So you get to deal with both. Verdict - We will be going back again. Will be camping next time and we will knock off the remaining 14 miles of "trails". I will update this review once I have completed all the trails. BoR"

"We camped here a couple of weeks ago and had an amazing time. Clean facilities, really friendly staff, and we were the first ones to use the fire ring at our campsite. Did some trail running and everything was really well marked and the trails were super clean. Will definitely be back!"

"We just visited the park for the first time 10/15/2023. The woman at the check-in booth was very friendly and helpful. It’s $4 for the day (come & go) and $50 for an annual pass. You can get a map from here which also has a QR code. Would have been cool if the app used gps to pinpoint your location on the park map. Beautiful scenery, peaceful and great trails, which are marked with signs. Trails don’t have much shade though so it gets hot during the day. My only suggestion would have been to have trails that loop around and you can follow it from start to finish, depending on how far you want to go. Now you need to constantly check the map as you go on trail N, to trail K, to trail A and so on…. But overall a great experience."

"We booked an RV spot online and came here today to check out the park and RV sites. Love, love the park. Lots of trails , the day use area had a nice covered patio, restrooms and horseshoe pits. There is a waterfountain that allows you to fill up your water bottle and it also has a waterbowl with waterdispenser for our furry friends! The RV sites are level for the most part and all are over 50 ft. Looking forward to camp there for the weekend and explore the rest of the park."

"Went with my son to check out the playground. There are no signs for the playground, nor is it on the map. Go to the Day Use Pavillion to find it. There isn't much shade, but it is a nice little playground. And there is a covered picnic area with bathrooms. We also saw a games court. This park appears to have a ton of hiking trails that look nice."
