"Hiked to Dog Canyon, actually, the other destination. Didn’t have time today for devils canyon. Beautiful hike across desert landscape to a wash that leads into the canyon. Out the other side you could keep on heading east but a large family of javelinas a couple hundred yards from the east entrance to the canyon caused us to reconsider. The hike to the canyon and back (that you can easily see from the highway is about 90 minutes there and back. (If you are hoofing it.) It was cool but dry the early March day we were there but it does appear that it can get very muddy very quickly with little rain. So be aware."

"Good hike but poorly marked was much longer than what the website stated (we did not make it to the end because there was no indication where we were) the route splits off with no markers"

"Great hike just watch for the trail markers and bring a lot of water with you! Also read the falcon guide book on this trail it's easy to miss where you need to get off the creek bed and go on the side of the mountain. Yet now I want to do the whole creek bed up the Devil's den as there are just so many cool things that you could only look down on."

"Cool canyon for hiking. The trail is hidden when in the wash but easy enough to follow. You can hike above or in the canyon. In fact, the canyon goes right through the ridge so you can hike along the rim of the canyon the at the end descend into the canyon and hike back that way. And just like everywhere else in Big Bend, bring plenty of water."
