"I went to the establishment in paris. Tn location this week to sell a wire fed welder and had previously went the week before with the wrong welder that my husband asked me to sell the one prior to this week was not a working welder which i did not know at the time i had grabed the wrong welder to take with me, when i brought that one in they tested it and tried to get it to work for 20 mins. Once they realized it didnt work, i left and went on my marry way. The following week i brought the correct working welder to the establishment and the pawn brokers never tested the welder i brought in this day they, told me they could only give me $40 for the welder. Which i thought was wired since the prior week i brought in a non working welder they didnt bother to test this one, but the plot thickens my mom use to work at this location and had quite a few months prior, so i feel like i was low balled because i was the daughter of a former associate, and they knew who i was immediately."

"I put a gun on layaway on Friday. I went to pay it off and do the background check that Monday. I was then told they only do them on Thursdays. There was four workers and one other customer, but the manager said he would only do it on Thursdays. Here it is Thursday and after completing the 4473 and 45min of waiting I'm told they don't have a NICS account and I'll have to come back on Monday."

"I’m unsure if they’re able to reach out to me from corporate or if it would be easier for me to just send a letter and if the ceo or someone that can at least acknowledge me as a customer for first cash pawn this occurred in Edinburg Texas store 85 I spoke to the district manager but the district manager will be going to the store till Thursday and I went to redeem an item at the store I had an issue and the manager that initially made me do a complaint still stated nothing would be done and was insisting on selling me a higher price item.I’m not asking for anything additional I need a genuine apology and at least a confirmation that something will be done"

"Usually we enjoyed going to this location. One woman that works there is sweet as can be. However the manager is completely and utterly ABUSIVE. I went in to discuss my items and see about paying on an item under my husbands name. Now, I know they can't give me any info on his account which is fine. But we had a layaway that we had called to make sure didn't drop 2 days ago and was told it was taken care of. I go in today and was told the layaway was forfeited. When I said "this is ridiculous...We've been having too many problems with y'all lately", the MANAGER KICKED ME OUT OF THE STORE with a very ABUSIVE ATTITUDE. I have never been so outraged in all my life. This is unacceptable and I will be calling corporate, as well as leaving negative reviews everywhere I can. Once we finish up our business with them, they won't be getting another cent from us. EVER. Which the manager seemed to think was totally OK with him. Unprofessional much???"

"Concerning the Arlington VA location on Route 50: This business has been taking advantage of a friend of mine for years. He has serious learning disabilities so he is unable to mentally comprehend how this shop continuously robs him of every cent he is able to earn and everything he owns. They encourage him to layaway items for as longs as a year simply to profit from his mental condition. Every time he goes there they encourage him to add items to his list. He currently has over 179 items in either layaway or pawn, SIX huge dot matrix printer paper lists of items the oldest of which is several years behind. I have done a detailed spreadsheet in an attempt to explain the fact that every item on his list cannot be paid off with the money he has and all they are doing is charging him to store this massive inventory. He refuses to stop believing he is getting a good deal and that this list can be redeemed on the future. They are allowing him to pawn new items to pay for existing pawn and layaway fees! He currently makes payments on over 20,000 dollars of crappy second hand items for which he has in most cases paid not only the initial cost of the item but an additional 68-87%. He has spent to date on just layaway items $8,708 dollars on $3,194 worth of used garbage and they encourage him to make payments on all this stuff which he does on the last possible day on a per item basis out of an irrational fear of losing anything in lay-away. Symptoms of his disability include hoarding worthless items of every kind and they prey on his disability with apparent impunity. Since August of 2013 they have collected $9,870.05 in pawn interest fees and he has not been able to remove anything because they bankrupted him by allowing this to go on and on without any conscience whatsoever. I calculated from these print outs that if this shop only sold marked up items they take in by 100% making double on everything, in his case they make on average 168%. His pawn and layaway fees track at a rate of $36.39 dollars EVERY DAY! Monthly they collect $1091.17 without ever giving him anything!!!! This is the worst abuse of the mentally disabled I have ever seen! To top this off much of the merchandise I have seen him bring home is damaged under functioning electronics. I ask you, the reader, would a normal person put a 5 dollar fan into layaway for 4 months? He did. This is not an accident! Stay away from this place. I am researching laws in Virginia to see if this activity can be prosecuted."
