"I really hate to have to bring this issue to a public forum. I worked with Bain Accounting for two years for my business and personal tax returns. When I was introduced, Brad seemed intelligent and timely with his understanding of our tax needs. However, once we began working with him it was very difficult to get things done on time or have timely responses to questions. On the second year, Brad had made some critical errors on our return that resulted in us owing more than $25K in taxes than we otherwise should have. In addition, and without our knowledge, Brad filed our taxes almost a year late. This resulted in an additional $7K of late fees and interest penalties across federal and two states. We found a new CPA that was able to amend our return to fix the errors, but we were still responsible for all of the fees and unnecessary tax burden. After we paid our balances, I reached out to Brad to explain the situation and ask for a refund of just his $800 filing fee. Brad acknowledged the mistake and apologized, citing personal issues at the time, and agreed to the refund. Since then (February '23), Brad has ignored all of my emails. When I call Brad's office, his staff will put me on hold and then eventually hang up before the call is connected to him. It has now been more than 5 months and I haven't heard anything since. Again, I really hate to bring this issue to a public forum through a review. This situation has been an absolute disaster, and it's extremely frustrating that it has just been ignored away. I encourage anybody considering Bain Accounting for your accounting needs to look elsewhere to try to avoid issues like the one we faced."
