"Got there close to closing-drive through couldn’t accept my checks since the machine wasn’t working. When I first tried to go in, the customer service rep said they were closed. I was quite bothered by this and responded negatively. The happy ending to this story is the manager stepped in and allowed me to finish my transactions. Yay for customer service! I am a glad I am a VCU.member."

"I want to start off by saying thanks to Latoya Cannon who is a Financial Coach at this branch location. I needed to open an account and apply for a loan for one of life’s necessities. I was thoroughly pleased with the professionalism and great attitude displayed by Latoya. I have 30 plus years of customer service experience. My current position requires remote technical support via phone. There are times we must give instructions for the customer to complete to resolve their questions, but the bulk of our work requires remotely connecting to the customer’s device and completing the steps needed to resolve their issue. Latoya handled my situation in a similar fashion. In customer service we refer to this as holding the customer’s hand like a guide taking them where they need to go instead of pointing to have them do the steps themselves. The process was seamless and quick. I had my accounts opened, my first deposit completed, and my loan approval information completed with no hassle. There were times I thought I needed more information, but Latoya would reassure me that she only requests the information needed to complete the process and nothing extra. This was a breath of fresh air because your financial data is in big demand. Only having to provide what is needed gives some peace of mind. I recommend anyone opening a new account or looking to apply for a loan to speak to Latoya Cannon. Once again thank you Latoya Cannon."
