"After reaching out and showing photos no response from Mr. Estrada. Hello Mr. Estrada, Please accept this email as a formal complaint of the house cleaning services not provided properly at our home on 10/07/2021, including damages made to a mirror. We requested a move in cleaning, as we just purchased the home and are expecting a baby soon and could not do the expected type of cleaning that we believed was to be done professionally. Therefore, this is the reason that we had to rely on a cleaning service to assist us. Due to poor cleaning, the house not only looked dirty following the cleaners leaving but also was left unhygienic in the bathroom as well. We are highly disappointed in the unfinished and poor services we received, especially after reviewing what type of professionalism you advertised and could provide for cleaning our home. There were multiple uncleaned empty cabinets, baseboards, shelves, and ceiling fans, having to be re-cleaned. The kitchen was left extremely dirty. The stove area, microwave, and the pantry were left unscrubbed or so it seems no effort was made in cleaning but only a quick wipe down, as we have gone through multiple towels now re-cleaning them ourselves. The fans were not cleaned but only dusted and even then they were not dusted very well (see picture). The blinds were also only dusted and not cleaned (see picture). In addition, we were not expecting only use of a feather duster or a light touch up here and there, but a thorough cleaning which is what we were told we would receive. In addition to the home remaining unclean, we also have incurred scratches across a mirror that were not there previously. The mirrors were also left more streaky after cleaning than before. If the scratches had been on the mirror beforehand we would have noticed them and I'm sure the cleaners would have mentioned or logged them. We would like to place an official complaint. My husband and I now have to take the time to go through the house to finish cleaning and this has caused further delays and interruptions in our work and study schedules. We will be looking forward to an immediate response from your cleaning services and due to these issues and being our first time using a cleaning service, for the record, this will be our last time to hire a cleaning service. Although please do not misunderstand, the workers were very polite and maybe they were doing what they were told to do. But the advertised cleaning services did not match what we received. Perhaps there could have been further information to clarify our requested services, but the house should not have been left in the condition it was, which is very upsetting. "I found Southern Maids through Angie’s List this month when I was in desperate need of a last-minute cleaning on a rental house I was moving into. The previous occupant had pets that they apparently never cleaned up after. The house needed a full top to bottom deep clean. Most cleaning services couldn’t come out on the short notice I was able to provide. But Chelsea from Southern Maids contacted me and quoted me an extremely reasonable price ($200 for a 3700sqft home) and next-day service. However, I soon learned that you get what you pay for. The cleaning crew that came out next-day were very friendly, trustworthy and reliable. They did a great job on areas like the kitchen and bathrooms, but they didn’t vacuum thoroughly in corners , under cabinets, or along the baseboards. They also didn’t clean the baseboards thoroughly as they had stated they would. I appreciate the fast and affordable service, but was hoping for a more detailed cleaning and would have been willing to pay more for it."
