Econo Cleaners

"While promising at first, these guys have proven to be a disorganized joke. I brought two garments ($15) in early Nov and three garments ($22) a week later. During the first visit they were training a new employee, and on Nov. 16 the employee Naina [sp?] called and said they made a mistake and billed the first transaction to someone else, and that I still owed for it. Many companies would accept this loss as their own fault, but I agreed to check my bank activity and come pay if I saw only one transaction. I checked and indeed saw only the $22 charge, so I returned to pay the $15 and drop off a new order. Things seemed fine at first, but then Naina kept insisting I owed $22 - despite me bringing a printout of my Chase bank account showing the $22 charge. She kept saying that "their system" showed the money was refunded (this is the same system that messed things up to begin with). Things took a turn for the worse and Naina stooped to desperate measures: claiming the negative sign on my bank printout meant I was refunded, claiming that the employee mixed me up with another Michael (like it wasn't the most popular boys name for 40 years), and asking me to leave my bank printout with them (yeah right!). There was a line of three customers building up and I told her she could help them first and then resume with me, but she kept going...bickering in front of customers about records she failed to keep, despite the presence of a bank printout. At this point I openly questioned her logic of behaving this way when I came to pay a transaction THEY screwed up three weeks prior, and I was about to drop off more clothes. I told her I would pay the $15 and take my new order elsewhere, and then she starts claiming "we're only human...we make mistakes" blah blah. I paid the $15 and took my clothes up the road to Lee Cleaners (and paid less). Here's what I learned about Econo Cleaners: 1.) They mix up customer records by using first name 2.) They don't have an accurate record of customer transactions 3.) Their disorganized system causes unlucky customers to be charged for others' orders 4.) When you try to help them, they will ignore hard facts and rely on their shambles of a POS system, and expect you to leave your bank statement so you can come back for more mistreatment Every time I went to Econo, they asked me to leave a Google review. Well, here is that review. *** EDIT: And funny enough, I got in my car after writing this review and found the ORIGINAL receipt for two garments. The photo shows it, the bank activity for my second transaction, and the receipt from my payment today (the one Naina swore should have been $22). So, my car change compartment is more organized than Econo's POS (pun intended) system. *** EDIT, IN RESPONSE TO OWNER 12/09/23: This meaningless word-salad response is what one can expect from Econo Cleaners. Human error can happen anywhere, which is why I accommodated Econo's initial mistake. But haughtily asking for more than what is owed, despite the evidence, is what makes Econo Cleaners worth avoiding. You want leniency for your own mistakes, yet with the arrogance of a bill collector you have the nerve to ask me to leave my bank history. Now you reply a week later with this fake customer service act to save face, unaware that it just proves how clueless you are. I have financial supporting documents...whereas you just have a ChatGPT response."

"Love coming to this cleaners. The couple working there is very friendly and always tries to make me feel welcome. They have gotten almost all stains on my clothes off. Sometimes my buttons need replaced and they put it for me."

"Amazing, quick and affordable service! I had a hard time finding curtains that fit my wall and needed to have them hemmed. Econo cleaners was great! I dropped off the curtains and they dry cleaned them for me as well and the tailoring was done perfectly! I also saved so much by buying curtains I loved and having them hem them for me. I am very happy with the result! And the price was so reasonable, and they are truly good and friendly people."
