"Just called you… no one there to answer the phone not even a voicemail. Aren’t you already authorized to perform a procedure? Why are you asking me for more information? You already have all of my information. This seems very untrustworthy. Considering what I have done for this community I still get disrespected. Do not Contact Me Again"

"I want so badly for this to be a 5-star review because the staff here is truly incredible. Not just the nurses, doctors, PCTs, and transporters from my floor, but every department the compliments only get better. I’m overly appreciative of the kindness, approachability, help, and motivation from the staff. A few of them even came into my room on their breaks just to talk with me and cheer me up! Hang on for this bumpy ride, because all is well and good until I got discharged. I stayed at this location for 5 days and each day the staff, no matter who, encouraged me and cheered me onto recovery, which ended up being so miraculously fast, my team of doctors were in disbelief. The room service folks even helped me squeeze in a second dinner when I finally got my appetite back, and my nurses brought me snacks to help calm me through each night. For the staff, I applaud an enthusiastic more-than 10-star bedside manner and attitude. The only reason I unfortunately have to give St. David’s a 3-star review is because of my experience after being discharged. I was sent home with prescriptions my team of neurologists and doctors advised may not be strong enough to help improve my condition and that I should contact my Primary Care Physician right away to transfer all records and medications for further assistance with adjustments to my treatment. 5 days after my release, I noticed my condition had worsened ever so slightly, but that the hospital still had not yet released my medical records. Hoping that it was only temporary or due to over-exerting myself (even though I laid down practically my entire time being home), I called the hospital to request an evaluation on my medications and records or a doctor’s note/referral so that I could bring my concerns to my PCP. I called 4 times before being connected with someone on my floor, only to be told that since I am no longer under their care, there was nothing they could to help. I was unable to get a status or redirect to the medical records office. Two days later, I woke up in worse condition than I had been even while in the hospital. I couldn’t move, simply laying still was painfully agonizing. I desperately contacted my PCP for help, only to be told they still had not yet received my records and that they could not help until that was available to them. On Wednesday, my condition and pain were unbearable. I’ve requested my medical records over 6 times throughout this last week alone, still with absolutely no communication from St. David’s or access. It’s now been 10 days since my release, zero word on my several requests via phone, email, fax, their website, their app, and mail about my records. I’m now at a point where I feel I’ve been thrown back into the world without a care, zero help or guidance, and can’t even get help from any of the other 6 doctors I’ve seen this week because my medical records are unavailable and my discharge documents aren’t enough to justify a change to my treatment. No Urgent Care, ER, telehealth, or physician can help me without it and St. David’s is taking their sweet time releasing them, in the meantime until they come around I’ve been laying still in miserable pain for the last 4 days. My advice, make sure you have doctor’s diagnosis, notes, and medication evaluations because if you’re suffering from a long term condition, you’ll have to go without any help for at least two weeks after leaving St. David’s. Overall, my rating from a staff perspective would be more than 5-stars. My rating from a documentation, communication, and administrative standpoint would be a 1."

"Visiting the area and my friend ended up in the ER due to heart issues. The staff was beyond kind and helpful! I was so tired and our assigned nurse was so sweet to get this old lady a recliner. Good Texas hospitality even in the ER."

"My friend broke both bones in her arm. She was not even seen by a nurse or doctor for 2 hours and she arrived by ambulance. They said they were too busy to help us find a wheelchair so I could get her to the car... She had surgery at another hospital 2 days later. The horrific treatment and blatant lack of respect was astonishing to me!"

"I'm very disappointed in this hospital. Their emergency department use to be amazing! Took my daughter to the ER around 2am on Saturday morning for what we thought was Appendicitis. The lobby was completely empty but no one was at the window to check us in. When someone did call us back they claimed to not have any open rooms so the Dr saw her in the intake room. He also thought she had Appendicitis and said she needed a CT scan asap. 15 mins go by and they finally put us in a room. This room was right by the ambulance bay in the back corner of the er and I can only describe it as a room for someone who's coming from jail or to it. It was disgusting!! Blood on the wall and cabinet, used gauze on the floor, unused blood vials on the counter and hair on the bed. We sat for an hour without seeing any staff. I decided I was fine right then and there and proceeded to walk to the desk and tell them I was taking her to the children's hospital. That's when staff finally said they would look at her chart and get stuff going. Everything went fast after that. I said that we had been waiting an hour just to be seen by a nurse and he proceeded to tell me they were packed yet there were plenty of open rooms near intake that I'm 100% sure of to be open and much cleaner than where we were placed. Also while prepping my daughter's iv he prepped it in the trash can. I will NEVER bring my children here in an event of an emergency again!!!!"
