"Andrew arrived on time to complete the scheduled repair (bathtub leak). Water supply to house was turned off to complete the repair. When water was turned back on I am assuming Andrew wanted to make sure there was no sediment in the bathroom sink faucet; however, he did not know how to remove the aerator and proceeded to try to do it with his plyers. Of course this damaged not only the aerator but also the internal of the faucet spout so water would not flow down. It went back into the counter as a result of the damage. Andrew told me the damage would not be covered and if I purchased a new faucet he would install it at no charge. In addition to that Andrew also refused to take my $50 coupon stating the repair job was misquoted and should have cost more than what I was quoted. Since this was an evening appointment I contacted the office first thing in the AM to speak to a manager about the damage and to get clarification on the coupon policy. Jackson allowed the coupon to be applied and scheduled another technician to come out and replace the broken faucet at no cost to me. Desmond showed up on time, quickly replaced the faucet and finished caulking the bathtub, which had not been completed by Andew. I appreciate Church Services correcting the errors caused by their technician in a timely manner. But I think I will stick to using them solely for HVAC (never had any problems with HVAC Techs) and seek another company for plumbing services. I am happy that all repairs were finally completed and I have been told I will be reimbursed for the faucet I purchased to replace the damaged one; however, the number of appointments (5 total)I had to make in 1 month for a bath tub leak and the cost of having to leave work to be home for some of those appointments, because the scheduled Saturday appointments were unproductive, is just more than I can afford. Nov 17 - submitted receipt to get reimbursed for the damaged faucet that had to be replaced. Have requested a status update on the reimbursement twice. As of Dec 9 I have not received a response. If I could give 0 stars I would. Jan 7, 2024 - even after calls from a couple employees confirming reimbursement check will be mailed, as of Dec 23 nothing had been received. Filed a complaint with BBB and finally got reimbursed Jan 7, 2024. Jan 16, 2024 - Tub Faucet (original repair that was paid for) started leaking again. Not looking forward to going through this again but a 1 year warranty was included with repair so it SHOULD be covered. Jan 18 - Technician came out and report shared with me stated "Technician Notes Found issues with install and repair”. The option I was given was to pay an additional $800+ dollars for them to go into the wall to fix pipes and replace entire bathtub fixture. Feb 1 - waited to hear back from technician to schedule repair. He was out sick. Still did not have use of my bathroom Feb 3 - Got a opinions from another plumbers, one of whom stated that some of the springs and rubber pieces in the cartridge appeared to be old and worn, which is why I had the leak. Purchased and installed a new cartridge without going into the wall. Leak stopped, no thanks to church services."
"The Church service tech and sales rep were a little late but that was the least of my problem . The report that was given to the centerpoint homeserve rep about the overall condition of my ac unit that was not appropriate. The warranty rep denied my claim for a fan motor and freon and mostly used the information the tech provided to make this conclusion. The fan motor and freon were covered under the warranty that was quickly sold to me and I paid for it monthly. But because there is a new law that now does not allow certain types of freon to be installed they said my ac unit was obsolete . When I bought this warranty from centerpoint and homeserve they never asked for the year or condition of my ac unit they simply said we cover all makes and models and parts. The church techs could not install any of the parts that I was entitled to and left me and my wife and puppy's without ac all night . I believe this was an act of fraud and we are taking steps to make KPRC tv aware of these deceptive trade practices. The last offer was for me to cancel the warranty or buy a new ac unit . Prior to there arrival I had Relaiable ac services look at the unit and he was dead honest and told me it was the fan motor . The tech also when on to say they would try to sell me a new unit . And just like he predicted about the sales offer and the lack parts coverage from Homeserve the phone rep proved him right . I don't believe this was the right decision in this situation since the Relaiable ac rep showed up today and at a discounted price replaced the fan motor and installed less then a pound of freon. And while I write the temp is 72 degrees on a cold night in Houston . Call Relaible ac company for there honest service and cancel the Centerpoint warranty it sucks. My advise is to call Reliable for a fair and reasonable offer on your repiars for your used ac unit . Also because of the new standards 90 % of homeowners will be effected by the same criteria and let's hope it's is not in the happen in the Houston Heat .
