"I changed my home and auto insurance from State Farm to Allstate because the State Farm agent was incompetent. I dove a new vehicle for almost a month without insurance because the agent didn’t read their email from the State Farm corporate office. I had insured the vehicle by calling the 1800 number on a Saturday. As far as Christy Cox, I left her branch after I found out I had been paying over $100 a year for renters insurance. I had put my sons car on my policy. I called her office and added his 2018 Honda Civic. He lives in my home. When he sold the car in April of 2022 he put his new car on his own policy at Progressive. A month later I received a letter from Allstate asking if my son wanted to continue paying for renters insurance. I called the Christy Cox office to inquire about this letter. I was told I had signed up for it. I told the girl on the phone that I am the one who opened the insurance contract on my sons car and I have NEVER believed in renters insurance. I would have remembered being asked about this. Especially since my son lives in my home. I was told that I must be mistaken, because they would never do this. My advice to anyone who uses this insurance agent, check your policies. There is a good chance you are paying for insurance you never asked for."
