Costco Pharmacy

"The pharmacy has limited hours. They are Not open on Sundays. They only accept Visa for credit card payments. You must show your membership card multiple times before you leave the store. Some RX prices are lower then other pharmacies. They do accept some online Rx discount cards and coupons. But you should check with them before you try using them."

"The pharmacist (I think his name was Gary) was very professional and knowledgable who went out of his way to explain how the medication was to be taken with food. The pharmacy technicians initially on the phone put me on hold to check if they had that commonly prescribed anti-inflammatory medication (in routine dosage) was in stock. Later, when I went to collect it personally in the store, the pharmacy technician informed me that our insurance info was not there even though it had been run through our insurance. Also, the pharmacy tech informed me that it was not a commonly filled drug as per her experience which the pharmacist absolutely refuted. The pharmacy techs probably need more experience! The pharmacist was excellent however."

"Wendy, the pharmacist, was so friendly and helpful. She knew exactly what prescription I needed and how important it was and helped me through the whole process of using good rx. "In the past I had been very happy with this pharmacy, but in a timely situation, I cannot rely on them. My doctor called in a script that must be taken two days later in order to have a procedure for my miscarriage. When I went to the desk, the pharmacy tech couldn't even find it in the system. I asked the on call nurse to call it in to a Walgreens 24hr as I needed it asap. Five days later (four days the pharmacy was open without Sunday) I received a text saying it was filled. The tech on the phone tells me that they just put it in the system on day 4/5 because they were backed up due to the holidays. The script was called in on January 10th. Why are you still so backed up? This is such a scary situation coming from a medication standpoint."

"Costco refuses to fill a prescription for 30 x 100 mg with 60 x 50 mg, even though they do not carry a 100 mg pill. They said it's the doctor's problem. Actually it is my problem; my insurance changed its mind about covering my medication and I'm trying to get some through GoodRx in the meantime while my appeal processes. Thank you Costco Rx."
