Overall, my time at the apartment complex had its ups and downs, and I believe it's important to provide an honest review for prospective tenants. Customer Service and Leasing Office: The leasing office personnel left much to be desired in terms of customer service. They seemed unaware of the laws and regulations governing their responsibilities, and their response to issues and complaints was inadequate. In particular, I faced difficulties getting a garage despite being on the waitlist, while others who moved in after me obtained one promptly. It was frustrating to witness such inconsistency and lack of fairness. Maintenance and Repairs: One of the key concerns was the handling of maintenance requests. The person in charge, April, appeared more interested in offering unsolicited advice on mental health rather than prioritizing work orders. Additionally, she would laugh off concerns when questioned about her unprofessional behavior. This lack of professionalism was disappointing, as tenants should be able to rely on the staff to address their concerns promptly and efficiently. Rules and Regulations: The adherence to the rules outlined in the lease agreement was inconsistent. For example, dogs were allowed to be left out on balconies, resulting in incessant barking. Breed restrictions on dogs were not enforced, and multiple vehicles, including work vehicles, were often parked in the lot, taking up valuable space. It was frustrating to see the management's failure to enforce their own rules and maintain a harmonious living environment. Amenities and Facilities: The swimming pool, a prominent amenity, was closed more often than it was open during the summer months. The pool's filter system was not functioning properly, and the management failed to enforce rules such as the prohibition of speakers and glass in the pool area. This lack of oversight led to disturbances and safety hazards for residents. Furthermore, the fireplace key was consistently unavailable, making it impossible to enjoy this feature as promised. Property Maintenance: The overall maintenance of the complex was subpar. The grass in the common areas was either burnt out or non-existent, giving an unattractive appearance to the premises. It seemed that only the front of the complex received proper upkeep, presumably to create a positive first impression for visitors. Community and Neighbors: Despite the challenges mentioned, I had positive interactions with my neighbors. They were respectful and polite, contributing to a generally quiet living environment. The presence of apple trees throughout the complex was a delightful touch, allowing me to enjoy fresh apples and make delicious juice during the fall season. In conclusion, my experience at the Landings at Amherst Lake was a mixed bag. While the community itself had its merits, such as pleasant neighbors and seasonal fruit trees, the issues with customer service, maintenance, adherence to rules, and property maintenance were significant drawbacks. "In these appartments have a really problem with internet conectivity. Xfinity has exclusivity and you are not allowed switch the internet services provider. If you like fast download and watch movies on UHD keep away from here"

"They have internet problem. The Xfinity network has problems in this area and because they have an exclusivity with these apartments and you cannot switch to another internet service provider. I have a 1.2gb plan with Xfinity and only I receive 1%: 18mb. If you will test your xfinity internet never use the testing tool from the xfinity app, use an external testing speed tool."

"Maintenance is generally really quick to any problem and are really nice. No sign of bugs or any other critters ( used to live in Washington DC where that used to be a problem) Very dog friendly have not have an issue with my little pup. Very good location wise if you want a decent place next to the base."
