About the Business
Welcome to Divine Dance Arts, located in Pearland, Texas! Our institution provides a warm and welcoming environment for students to learn proper dance technique in various styles such as ballet, pointe, jazz, contemporary, tap, hip hop, and creative dance. Our experienced instructors focus on giving personal attention and encouragement to each student, while maintaining a disciplined class atmosphere.
At Divine Dance Arts, we believe in providing a learning environment that teaches students not only proper technique but also performance showmanship and outstanding confidence. Our philosophy is to encourage students to learn dance vocabulary, execute various steps, and perform a variety of dance routines. We aim to instill leadership skills and responsibility through auditions for feature parts in our formal year productions.
In addition to our regular classes, Divine Dance Arts offers the option to join our Competition Team, where dancers can challenge themselves and showcase their skills at local spring dance competitions. We also prepare for formal year productions every other year, giving students the opportunity to audition for feature parts and further develop their technique and confidence on stage.
Our studio is equipped with floating dance floors to reduce the risk of injuries and allow students to dance longer without fatigue. We maintain small class sizes to ensure individual attention and hands-on training from our professional instructors. Our director, Crystal Buchman, has a true passion for dance and specializes in classical ballet and contemporary lyrical.
Our instructors, including Jessica Gerhardt and Annalisa Nungaray, bring a wealth of experience and passion to their teaching, inspiring students to reach their full potential. Cameron, a Houston native, has performed at prestigious venues such as Lincoln Center and New York Fashion Week. Abigail Gorham, a graduate from the University of Oklahoma, aims to inspire the next generation of dancers with her diverse training and experience.
