"This is by far one of the worst insurance companies I’ve come across. I was hit by one of their “insured” customers and it’s been 2 weeks since I’ve heard from anyone. I tried speaking to a manager/supervisor or literally anyone that can give me an update, it is ridiculous the numerous times I’ve called and how many days have passed that I haven’t heard anything. I WAS PUT OUT OF CAR BECAUSE OF YOUR CUSTOMER, the least they can do is their job."

"Hope that you never have to deal with these people. One of their insured drivers hit our car (their fault), and the person who answered the phone was rude. They give you another number to actually file the claim. Don’t hold your breath, if you’re waiting on an adjuster to call you back. They won’t. We ended up having to file through our insurance company, who will then go after the snake oil company that Gateway is affiliated with. It’s a whole nightmare. You’d better pray you don’t get hit by one of their “insured”. Btw - the girl who hit us had a drivers license from INDIA. She didn’t even have a drivers license in the USA."

"Lord have mercy on your soul if you are hit by someone with this insurance company. I have made every attempt to speak to someone. I have left countless voicemails. I had a glimmer of hope when I finally got a call back from my adjuster. Except he called while I was work so I politely asked to call back the next day at an agreed upon time. He is now MIA again. You are better off stealing the other parties car to keep as collateral until your car is fixed and fighting the charges on the back end. The sad thing is I say that as a cop."

"Too bad there’s not a place to mark zero stars. One of their policy holders ran a red light and t boned us on the passenger side. Thank God we have a Cadillac or I would have been severely injured or worse. Gateway underwrites Buckle Up which insures ride share and delivery drivers. We had a police report and witness. They kept telling us they didn’t have the police report when our insurance company had received it. Now we are Into the fifth week after the accident and they sent a check for 7500 dollars. The repairs are 13000. Gateway claims they never received that estimate. The collision shop says they sent it. We are refusing the check. We have gotten nowhere with them and neither has Allstate, our insurance company. I don’t know where we go from here. Horrible company. We are in our 70s and have never experienced anything like this with an insurance company."

"Don’t use the company, on February 1st my husband’s car was hit by one of their customers. They issued a check and we took it to a collision shop, now they want to claim my husband’s car is a total loss and are trying to pick up the car. They do not have our permission!! They haven’t called us back or anything. It’s not a total loss, why won’t they call us back. We just want the car back but no one will call us! Worst insurance company, buyer beware!!"
