Premier Martial Arts West, located at 6616 Milwaukee Avenue in Lubbock, Texas, offers a unique approach to health and fitness through martial arts training. Whether you're four years old or sixty-four, you can expect to improve your strength, conditioning, and flexibility with our comprehensive curriculum. Every muscle group is targeted and defined through our exercises, movements, techniques, and training drills.
Our vision at Premier Martial Arts is to create a supportive community where individuals can get in shape, stay safe, and develop the life skills and character of a true martial artist. Our thirty-six month program not only teaches the basics of martial arts, but also prepares students to achieve their black belt. We prioritize individual progress and self-improvement, helping each student reach their full potential.
In addition to traditional martial arts training, we offer Krav Maga classes, a self-defense and fighting system that focuses on real-world scenarios. There are no rules in Krav Maga, making it a practical and effective form of self-defense.
At Premier Martial Arts West, we also offer exciting birthday parties for children, where the birthday boy or girl can lead the class and break a real board in front of their friends. Kids learn basic self-defense skills and have the opportunity to cut their birthday cake with a real sword. Parents can save on our birthday package, which includes 90 minutes of fun karate curriculum, pizza, drinks, and paper goods.

"My daughter has been going here for a couple months. The staff is very friendly and helpful. They show a lot of patience with the kids and do a good job of keeping it fun, but serious at the same time. They seem to be put in a bad situation by the management in my opinion. There is always a push to get more and more students, which seems to be monetarily driven by the management/owner. There are a limited number of classes though and they seem to be getting more and more crowded. Having over 20 kids in a class is not a productive way for them to learn anything meaningful. The instructors are forced to manage the limited time they have between teaching and dealing with behavior issues (which are likely increased by the number of students in class at one time). I gave a 4 star rating because.... I would give the instructors 5 Stars Management/owner would get 2-3 stars."
